In 1969, by mutual agreement, the College separated from Baylor University to become an independent institution. This encouraged broader, nonsectarian support and provided access to federal research funding. The institution's name changed to Baylor College of Medicine.

Baylor College of Medicine separated from Baylor University in the late 60s. It is an independent, private institution and not affiliated with Baylor University.

Boy, you aTm fans will go to any length to shite on your B12 counterparts.

It shows with your arrogance and POS stance you take with your new found home in the SEC.

Does the diploma say Baylor University of Medicine or does it say whatever drivel you just spewed?

You guys are the most insecure pieces of shite the world has ever seen.

Listen, you’re wrong.
I’m not looking to squabble with you; just wanted to set the record straight.
Relax.

Baylor has great football facilities. My son camped there this summer. The place is beautiful. And the city has improved dramatically over the past 10 years. Lots of good restaurants. College station is an absolute dump, even though they have also grown a lot recently.

The Baylor family has helped found lots of things, and endowed lots of others. As a result their name is on lots of buildings around the state. That doesn't mean they are all affiliated with Baylor University.

There is also the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, TX, the Baylor College of Dentistry which is Texas A&M's Dental School, and the Baylor, Scott, and White Hospital System just off the top of my head.

It would be like crediting everything named after a member of the Vanderbilt family to Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

A shame that 90% of non-Texans can only think of The Branch Davidians when it comes to Waco.

Give some of us a little credit. For example, I equate Waco with Sons of Anarchy-style sports restaurant shootouts.

Idk. Baylor has had an easy schedule this far. They're definitely a pretender and not a true contender, just like Minnesota, who will get absolutely prison raped by Penn State and out a halt to all of their hype. With that being said, Baylor would beat gay&m.

Don't forget the Baylor football team's rapes, the Baylor basketball team's murders, and the Baylor baseball team's cat beheadings.

Yup, real high class institution over there in Waco.

Waco is a pit, but obviously better than Baton Rouge. Both are pretty terrible, though

You provided research on a school that is not the Baylor bears... did you just provide a link without reading it First? Please think before you comment. Provide accurate facts. You make LSU fans look bad

They really don’t have many quality wins despite being undefeated... aggies have beaten miss state Arkansas ole miss and hung around with auburn. I guess the counter argument was they beat k state... but I’d take the aggies quality win over one quality win.. it’s pretty easy to be awesome in a lower conference with inferior opponents go look at ucf...

I don’t like A&M but Baylor isn’t even close to their level and Waco and College Station are not shite holes.
