He’s not a bad QB he’s just limited as a passer.

If only passing wasn't such a crucial part of being a quarterback...

Because every QB ever has only won awards because of there passing. Do Tebow, Manzel, or Newton win SEC OPY without there rushing numbers?

Tebow, Manzel, and Cam were all limited passers and great college QB’s. QB’s don’t all come with the same set of skills, he’s plenty talented to win in college.

Tebow was not a great passer but was elite running and similar to hurts had excellent players around him to carry the slack if needed.

Manziel and Cam were both excellent passers so I have no clue where you're getting "limited" from.

The year Tebow won the Heisman he threw for over 3,200 yards. Manziel threw for over 3,700 the year he won the Heisman. Newton only threw for 2,800 but he rushed for 1,400. Newton also completed 66% of his passes that year. Jalen's numbers simply do not compare.

Your scout team QB is better than a one time SEC offensive player of the year? That’s a hot take. Never change Georgia fans.

Can we stop grouping ZeusStamos and ThomasBrown with Georgia fans?

He also didn’t win a Hiesman, I’m not saying he is as good as them, I’m making the argument, that if you bring other intangibles to the position like he does you can still be a good QB If you are limited as a passer. Dak is another good example. Daboll also didn’t really do him any favors last year, he probably would have progressed really well with another year of Kiffin.

He would not start for missouri, sc, or auburn either.

Some of the other schools I have no clue. But he certainly would not start for 11 SEC teams as you claim.

Georgia, Auburn, SC, State, Ole Miss, A&M, Vandy, Mizzou and Bama all have at least one QB that is better than Hurts on their roster. Some of these programs have multiple QBs that are better than Hurts.

I added AU

I suppose Mizzou might want to keep losing, so they might not start him

Same with SC

I'm not even convinced that he would make UGA's roster. Our scout team guy is a much better passer than he is. I'm not even joking about that. It would be interesting.

Honestly, dude...

Umm the NFL proved Johnny was limited as a passer, he couldn’t throw jump balls to Mike Evans anymore. Cam throws every pass 100 mph, and is in no way shape or form a great passer at the NFL level. Just makes my argument you don’t have to be an elite passer in college if you have other intangibles, many things go into making a great QB in college.

Yeah because throwing for 2,780 yards in 15 games definitely earns you offensive player of the year honors.

Yeah because you're ignoring what he did with his legs and the amount of TD's scored, but don't let those lost facts stand in the way of you making yourself out to be a moron.

Dak Prescott threw for 3,400+ yards and 3,700+ yards in his junior and senior seasons respectively. Dak, Cam, Johnny, and Tebow all would've been much more valuable to their respective team than Jalen even if they were true pocket passers, and it isn't even close.

We have 2 scholarship QBs, don’t be a fricking moron. He would absolutely be on UGA’s roster and probably our 2nd string QB.

He'd definitely start for UF. I'm not gonna argue the other schools because I don't know how he'd fit in most places

But this obsession that rival fans have with Hurts is odd. He may not be Heisman-level but it's not like Bama has had success in spite of him. Just because he's limited as a passer doesn't mean he's not pretty good overall as a QB given his running ability

Auburn would be the best place for him. He would be deadly in that offense.

Saw him play in high school multiple times, and everyone close to the team knows he can sling it.

I'm not sure if you're a Georgia fan or not, but you do understand that Spring is all about propaganda, right? Hurts would play over your Scout Team QB, he might even start over Fields. If you're saying you wouldn't take an SEC starting QB over two guys who have never taken a collegiate snap? Hoo, lawd.
