Hurts threw one single interception last season. People want to criticize his passing ability which is legitimate...but they also dont want to look at how well he took care of the ball. Hurts wants to win. He knew he had a great D. He did what it took to win games and hes won a lot of them

t I do know that Stetson has been giving our defense fits every time they've had to go up against him in practice. Apparently he does a much better job that Jalen did against our D in the natty.
SB was a 2* and rated nationally in teh 2500s out of HS. To my knowledge he no college offers. Which is why he's a walkon scout teamer.

Put Hurts in a system like Nick Marshall was used in and he'd be unstoppable

Yeah that Josh Dobbs guy never made a bad pass, is this a joke? Are you guys really trying to make the argument Josh Dobbs is a better passer than Hurts? Dobbs looked absolutely terrible throwing the ball. He was still a good college QB, but he was no better of a passer than Hurts is in my opinion.
Dobbs had better numbers the year Jalen won offensive POY. Dobbs was clearly more deserving of the award, as was Fitzgerald and several others. Jalen won it primarily because he was Alabama's QB and they were undefeated at the time. They were undefeated because of all of the incredible talent around Jalen. Jalen contributed very little to their success.

that's exactly what people are doing.

having few interceptions doesn't = you are a good passer. All EVERYONE is saying is that he's not a good passer.

Dak Prescott was a 2* as well, and now he's starting for the Dallas Cowboys. What's your point?

Lol you just sound Anti-Bama at this point, you obviously have your mind made up, believe what you want.

Idk maybe Dak actually got a scholarship to play QB in the SEC, that’s probably a good start.

My point was that the star ratings are often bullshite. There are several former 2 stars that are currently having good careers in the NFL and there are several 5 stars that never even made it.

Who said Dobbs never made a bad pass? That take of yours is the joke.
I am saying Dobbs had the highest passer rating in the sec in 2016. He had a better completion %, more ypa, more tds per attempt. He also had more yards per carry. He did this with a less qualified supporting cast and having to face the Bama d.

Yeah well you seem to be missing all of my points too. So here’s one more. If he was that good he would be playing somewhere under scholarship, and not paying his own way rotting on the bench. He obviously thinks he’s a scout team guy, why don’t you?

He was a 3*. 601 National.
Was a Top 20 Dual Threat QB prospect and number 23 in Louisiana.
Marcus Mariota was #18 that year in dual threats. Johnny Football was 13th that year just so you know.
Bennett is a 2*. 1862 National. 74 in Pro Style QBs. 197 in Georgia.
Lot of difference there..........

Scout team QB is better why waste a scholarship on another QB
Posted on 4/20/18 at 2:21 pm to djsdawg
You’re right Josh Dobbs is the GOAT, he is so much better of a passer than Hurts. He didn’t get the benefit of being the entire offense while Kamara wasted away on the bench, and those SEC East defenses were dominate. I can’t believe I’m even having this argument.

Outside of UGA, Miss St and maybe Auburn, he would start everywhere else. The guy has winning pedigree.
Posted on 4/20/18 at 2:25 pm to Aggiehoss04
He would start for maybe half the teams. Prob not at Vandy or Carolina.

If your scout team QB is getting good enough blocking from your scout team Oline vs your starting D to look that good you might be screwed

He played well in practice against the same D that held y'all to 7 points in the SEC Championship game.
Posted on 4/20/18 at 2:51 pm to ZeusStamos
And the D we hung 40 on too?
