Crazy talk. A 3-loss SEC team will definitely get in if they get it at the SEC Championship Game. I should know. With 9 conference games, it will matter, and the top of the SEC looks much stronger than the last 2 seasons. That's the big difference.

They have to beat OU and then they need to go 4-3 the rest of the way to have a chance. Not a given

Depends on what happens in other leagues.
Barring some catastrophe, Miami is going to be there for the ACC. Let's say they get 1 more.
Big 10 will get 3 in IMO: Ohio State, Indiana, winner of UCLA/Oregon.
I think the Big 12 gets 1: BYU.
Boise State is the likely G5 rep.
We know the SEC champ makes it. Let's say that's Georgia.
As things stand now, we could get as many as 5 IMO, and it's too early to tell which 5, although UGA and Texas are in pole position.
SEC needs the Big 10 to stand on 3 bids and for Texas Tech to flame out.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Bubba. No one's forgetting about State. But to make the playoffs it's going to take a lot more than a nice win over a middling B1G team and barely beating Missouri at home.
