Honestly, I think TAMU shite the bed with the hire. $100 mill over 10 years no matter what you do, and that sounds like fat, happy, and no fricks given. I know Aggies are ecstatic (I know one that I like very much), but it's not a good set up for results and it's a setup that fails often no matter how competitive a coach is to get to the top. Doesnt always happen (see Saban)n but it happens allot. IMHO the odds of failure are far higher than a dominant run.

I love when opposing fan bases try to tell us what our expectations should be, and the time table for said expectations.

I’m as negaggy as they come, and even I’m willing to give jimbo a longer leash than 2 years to become a threat in the west. If after year four we haven’t seen that potential I’ll be willing to listen to claims of a coach being a flop.

How many coaches have been highly successful in the SEC without having a high level of success within their first 2 years? I’ll let you google that and report back

Well, Saban and Smart were contending in year 2. Is this not where aTm wants to be? Is this not the reason to pay the man what they are paying him? aTm is in a talent rich state, so if it doesn't happen by year 2, it probably won't happen.

Find a QB and they can turn it around quick. It is a formula that would work for at least half of the SEC.

What’s your point

Herman, at UTexass, will have a better record and a better program than Jimbo will at A&M. That's my feeling and I am sticking with it.

I think JF can bring the Ags along but I predict the Ags will not win the SEC under JF and that he will not coach there 10 seasons.

Jimbo will probably have a couple of big seasons but national power? Doubtful. A&m doesn't have the culture.

I’m being a true hater, but I’d rather any other team have success in the SEC than A&M. They are already unbearable and that’s with a shitty program. Them winning would cause this site to completely shut down.
