Unless we swing and miss on all of our targets, I wouldn’t want frank as the permanent coach. However, I’d feel better than I did with him than I did when O got the job..

my point is, losing to a championship hopeful team in game 1 isn't the same as losing to bad UCLA team that isn't even in the discussion for the post season. If we lose a really hard fought game to clemson, we will still be a pretty hard team to beat going farward.

I'd say losing this game doesn't feel the same as losing to UCLA, FSU, & USC. We were favored in all of those games and felt like we SHOULD have won each of them. This year is different, Clemson is seen as a playoff lock & most have them competing for a title. Losing would absolutely suck, but its definitely not the end of the season if it happens. I think it will have a lot to do with how we lose, if we do. If we fall apart and get boat raced, there's a reason to panic.
I never understood talking shite after winning the first game of a series.. :banghead:
This seems like just the new norm. You either pay a lot for top HS kids & pay to keep them or pay a proven transfer. Doesn't seem like we can compete for as many top high school recruits with schools like Texas and OSU. We have to go with the next best thing, & that's the portal.
