They should have left it at top 20. If we want Sunbelt teams to be ranked then by all means expand and further dilute what it was meant to be.

Kansas State (7-3) deserves to be in the top 25 more so than Mississippi State. Wooped a Stanford team who beat #3 Oregon.
Just like Oklahoma State has the better win (Baylor) than does Michigan and should be ranked higher, but bias will kick in on Tuesday like always.

They deserve it more than the G5 schools. Bias has always had a lot to do with the rankings.

We probably will be with the one that matters; as will Arkansas. We'll find out tomorrow night. Not that it's a playoff question but I think bowl hierarchy plays into the playoff rankings. We were 16 prior to pooping the nest against Arkansas.

Hey. You can feel that way if you want. I just don't see them jumping Iowa, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Pittsburgh, or Wisconsin.
I mean, I get that you might not like UTSA in the top 15, but that doesn't mean MState should jump everybody else.

I do. A&M is the only team on that list you mentioned that beat anyone with a pulse besides Arkansas, that narrowly beat State at home. At worst Arkansas and State should be right next to each other.

Stanford is a 3-7 team. That's a bad loss for Oregon, not a good win for Kansas State.
Meanwhile Mississippi State has wins over NC State, Auburn, TX A&M, and Kentucky, all teams that are far superior to the teams Kansas State has victories over.

Y'all are bouncing all over the place. What does "team right now" mean? You want us not to judge MState by their record, but based on the team right now. So what does that mean, first. Then we can compare and see who matches up and who does not.
Ste some parameters and refuse to budge from them. Let's not start moving goal posts all over creation.
You can set the parameters.
Name the top 15 teams in your mind.

You count a win over a 4 loss (possibly 5 loss) Auburn team a good win?
Then you want to ignore a 1 point win over Louisiana Tech and a loss to Memphis and a loss to LSU?
Y'all don't like UTSA being ranked in the top 15 but you beat Louisiana Tech by 1 and lost to Memphis and LSU. At least TRY to be objective.

We have lost 4 games - two of which were to two bad teams (Memphis and LSWHO).
So that is why we are not ranked. But we can rectify that by continuing to win.

It's the losses that will kill you. Not their wins.
But Kentucky beat the same LSU team that Mississippi State lost to.
You want to hammer at games you won....kudos. But you can't just ignore all the bad losses, too.

UK is 7-3 and would have an argument for the top 25 if Florida and LSU hadn’t turned out to be horse shite. I just hope we get Penn State in a bowl. That will be fun.
