Nick and LSU might have one or two more rings but not the 5 he got with Bama. Nick and Bama was a perfect storm for College football. Nick is a great coach and a great recruiter. Bama itself is great, actually one of the best recruiting colleges out there. LSU is very very good themselves but just doesn't have the Alumni to make the machine work as smoothly as Bama. He would still be HOF coach just not in the running for one of if not greatest of all time.

Do the annual arse beatings from Nick Saban sting more knowing that in an alternative universe he would have stayed at LSU?

Why would that sting an Auburn fan more?

I'm sure Bama fans feel pretty good---he's THEIR head coach.

Not nearly as much as it stings LSU fans that he didn't.

He’s been at Alabama for 13 years and no end in sight. I think we won.

Everyone knows he lies. I don't believe that statement for a second.

What is the better place to live? Baton Rouge or Tuscaloosa?

Who gaf how bama feels about it, they have the hardware and history will not record Saban as that guy that shouldn't have left LSU, it will record him as CFB and BAMA's second GOAT.

frick him for that.

"As it turns out, what I learned from that experience in hindsight was, it was a huge mistake to leave college football," Saban said.

TBH Saban is happier at Alabama than anywhere. He turned down Texas to stay at Alabama.
Both his kids married Alabama students. He moved his mom to Birmingham. He owns the Mercedes dealership in Birmingham where his son is a manager. And his wife is pretty entrenched in Tuscaloosa too.

Like I'm glad history didn't turn out that way? *shrug*

If Lincoln had said, "I really wish I had never run for President" doesn't mean he wouldn't have made a great Senator. He was better as the President and the country was better for it.

I'll probably whine about it for a decade and blame the refs for all Bama's misfortunes..

He would not have won five at LSU. Our AD, politicians and boosters would have found a way to interfere with and frustrate him.

It’s what we do.

Most Bama fans are too arrogant and insecure to admit that this irritates them. Saban’s coaching history and recent comments regarding LSU is precisely what drives Most Bama fans hate towards LSU.

Bama fans can’t humbly admit the fact that LSU would easily be enjoying the same success they do today if Saban hadn’t decided to test NFL waters. Alabama football in return would still be going through Shula type coaches while searching for their next “Bear Bryant”.

If Saban wanted to to at LSU so bad I’d think he’d give LSU a break and throw a bone to ‘em every now and then and stop kicking that arse every damn year.

Saban would’ve never put up with Joe Alleva’s stupid shite.
