Simply put, no they wouldn't.
Saban+Bama is better than Saban+LSU.
Saban benefitted from Bama more than he would from LSU.
LSU doesn't have the brand or history that Alabama does. Saban said in 2007 that there were very few schools he would have left the NFL for.
No matter their current situations, there are a handful of schools that will always be a cut above everyone else: Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, OU and USC.
