why do players go there? its in the middle of nowhere, average to below average academics, obese women...and just seems to be a knock off dollar store version of alabammer. why aren't they just going to be another A&M that never wins anything in this league?

Oklahoma does not enhance the SEC unfortunately. In the middle of BFE. Will be Nebraska in a few years.

It doesn’t. Give the entire shite-hole state back to the Indians.

Elite atmosphere and tradition.

its in the middle of nowhere

Norman is an OKC suburb. It’s in the third largest SEC university city metro area behind Austin and Nashville.

average to below average academics

Tier 1 Research University that is on par or better than most SEC schools

If you are in the same blue blood conversation as Alabama, you are enhancing the SEC.

#1. They bring Tradition and represent the blue bloods.

#2. 7 Heisman trophy winners, closest SEC school is Bama.

#3. Softball and gymnastics powerhouse that wins national championships.

#4. The SEC gains the College Softball World Series in their own backyard. Huge win.

#5. OU sells tickets and generates revenue. The top Meteorology program in the US.

#6. OU fans travel well, we're respectful to visiting teams, and OU fans and the state of Oklahoma actually cares about college football.

#7. The SEC gains the OKC market. I advise SEC fans to catch an OKC Thunder game, and they're currently fighting for 1st place in the NBA. You'll have a blast.

#8. OKC (the 405) started Street Outlaws. I could go on.

#9. Oklahoma BBQ is greater than any of that vinegar nonsense out east.

Why do players go there? Because they’ve been getting paid for years, just like any other classic blue blood.

What do they add? They are a brand worth watching. I’ll sit and watch most OU vs SEC games next season. Same with Texas. Next season will be the most fun college football fan experience ever.

If you still live among the hill billies you're close enough to come down and experience it for yourself and then tell me the Iron Bowl is better.

If your budget doesn't allow for two trips to Dallas in the same year I suggest skipping the piggie/aggy thing at the death star and coming to the real Cotton Bowl while the State fair is in full swing. Thank me later.
