He admits to getting $60k a year for school free plus $8k stipend.
So he gets essentially $68k a year for free, but hey,
"not paid" for his work

You are getting a free ride that most college students would love to have to avoid student debt before they ever get a job.
That athletic experience gives you the opportunity to make a professional living if you are deemed good enough and draftable commodity by a professional sports league.

these people are genuinely idiots. they're comparing college to the NFL. college football isn't the NFL it's not close. for better or worse college football is the minor league feeder system for professional football. would you care to know why that is?
because the roster requirements to field a football team are incompatible to the business model of minor league sports. it's the same reason they don't have guaranteed contracts in the NFL. the NFL has a 55 man roster, it plays 16 games a year with 8 home game revenue opportunity's compare that to baseball with a 26 man roster playing 160 games or a NBA roster of 15 players with 82 regular season games, over half the teams make the four round playoffs.
this is the reason why every attempt to create a football minor league has failed in my lifetime and i'm 59.
if these imbeciles want an apples to apples comparison to their situation they need to look at minor league sports. the minimum salary in the arena league was 31k, it went out of business in 2019. the minimum salary for the NFL europe was 40k for 10 games it went defunct in 2007. AAA minor league baseball players make 14k for a 5 month season, NBA developmental players just got a huge pay raise to 35k for a five month season.
the average cost of attendance for state universities is between 30-50k per year. the players are being fairly compensated compared to their fellow athletes in minor league sports.

If he lives off campus he's getting more
than 8k in stipends.

If the Pac-12 caves it will soon spread to all conferences.
Its a very relevant issue.

I hope the Pac 12 players go on strike. That will effectively end Pac 12 football. Then we can watch all the SJW's cry again about how their statements were misrepresented.

Is this true for the white players as well..?
He is free to forgo his remaining eligibility and try to get signed by an NFL team immediately if he thinks he's good enough.

You "get paid" with a free college diploma dumbass.
As if major college FB players graduate. Might as well "pay" them with the keys to an F-16.

What exactly do you support?
The revenue split?
Cap on coaches salary?
"Shared" revenue among all athletes?
Do you have any idea how unrealistic and absurd they are?

How does he feel they are worth $250,000?
Also, their total package is worth a hell of a lot more than $60,000.
Just getting accepted to a school like Stanford, where you wouldn't ordinarily qualify, is worth updwards of $250,000 and possibly a good bit more.

These entitlement infested, SJW, BLM loving ignorant athletes need a freaking wake up call.....they truly think they're oppressed and now have a political soap box. Unfortunately since 99% of college administrations are flaming PC socialist/marxist liberals....they have given these players power, as in the example of OSU essentially forcing Mike Gundy to beg forgiveness and say his beliefs are wrong over an innocent t-shirt or be fired because Chuba Hubbard cried...I'm not going to play cause he wore a OAN t shirt.
Chuba and any players going along with him, should've been told, there's the door. Once these admins open the can of worms, there is no stopping it....They've allowed 18-21 year olds to believe they are more important than the team, coaching staff and school. This unfortunately isn't going to end anytime soon, unless fans speak with their wallets

Reading his Twitter manifesto, how many coaches at any power 5 program are going to invite that transfer cancer into their locker room? Good luck in your athletic endeavours at Portland State.

If CA, OR, and WA want to leave the U.S. and create their own terrible country, I would not object. I’m tired of all this BS.
