The AAU coaches instate absolutely hate South Carolina and Clemson for some reason. They will tell their players not to come here. And Frank couldn’t recruit for shite

Because Frank Martin recruits so poorly. That final 4 run was fricking awesome, but it was a fluke. the fact he couldnt pull anyone after shows that

as time went on it appeared to be more of a cover for FM because no top rated players wanted to be subjected to the mental aspects of playing on a Frank Martin basketball team -
as for Burns Jr - he was a 4* in 2018 class behind Zion Williamson & Ja Morant - Frank was too busy pretending to recruit Zion even though Duke had already funded his pledge - so Frank's good friend Rick Barnes got him -

Barnes doesn’t like fat, lazy players who smoke a lot of weed. We could use a fat player though as we got bullied by some of the elite big men this year.
He nearly parted ways with Schofield due to being chubby/lazy when Barnes came in but got him to buy in.
