Half the team wasn’t even doing S&C at the Gator facilities at the end of the McElwain era

Really have a hard time believing that.

Look at the injury reports.

Look at combine results compared to their high school numbers.

Look at their damn bodies lol.

It was very obvious that something was wrong in our program. Other coaches complained about it as well it's why Mcelwain was in a lot of trouble behind the scenes before the comments.

Now compare injuries last year to this year. Notice a substantial difference? If you need more proof. Literally google "Mcelwain Strength and Conditioning."

Read and you'll see how bad it was.

Ya really think McElwain S&C was responsible for those injuries?C'mon

Since you don't follow things you want to speak on. I'll help you out.

"McElwain talked about having a similar organizational structure to Saban’s, but he didn’t [inherit] Saban’s attention to detail. During McElwain’s final year at Florida, some Gators were paying their own way to be trained elsewhere in Gainesville by former Olympian Tim Montgomery. That should have been a glaring red flag with regard to the Gators’ strength program, but nothing was done to correct the issues that caused the players to seek help outside the program."

"It's been an ongoing storyline since Jim McElwain's departure, Florida's strength and conditioning program is inadequate and needed an overhaul.

Enter Nick Savage.

"I see more change in three months than I was here for three years," said Florida offensive lineman Martez Ivey said at SEC Media Days."

The team's lack of physicality and form has been blamed heavily on how the strength and conditioning program was handled in the last three years. Ivey admits that many players on Florida's teams chose to hire personal trainers away from the university in order to prepare their bodies for the seasons.

“We could tell that people were stronger than us, and I don’t want to say that it was intimidating, but it just made me ask why," said Ivey. "I have a feeling that we will be more physical up front, and we will be able to take control of the game more and have more strength more speed and more power.”

“It was a joke. I love Mike Kent to death, one of the best people I have ever met,” he said. “Great guy, but it was a joke. We didn’t really lift anymore, we stretched. Under coach [Will] Muschamp, we lifted heavy, Olympic-style lifts. That’s football weight lifting. We didn’t lift for max or do heavy power lifting under Mac and Kent. Our program wasn’t a serious off-season program. There was no accountability. If you missed a workout, there was no you had to make it up or get up and run the next morning. If you missed a workout, you just missed it. They couldn’t enforce anything, or they wouldn’t, so they started making some things optional. Once you make it optional, what do you think is going to happen? Guys are going to take the option of not showing up.”

"
UF administrators had urged McElwain to turn over the staff in the Gators' weight room because they believed workouts were unorganized and players weren't being adequately developed under Mike Kent, the director of strength and conditioning, who had followed McElwain to Florida from Colorado State."

There's hundreds more...but you get the point.

How long before Steve Spurrier starts calling the shots for Mullen and does Spurrier still have a bigger office?
