The key difference is our old coach actually won something while here and laid the foundation for future success. You omitted some other facts: LSU has won additional championships since he left. He wasn’t fired, he simply scratched a career itch. He has stated it was mistake to leave LSU. He was given everything he wanted at LSU. Orgeron was blocked at every turn by the snobby Ole Miss assholes.
Saban was bound for glory wherever he landed. He just landed at a rival. Bama was fortunate Rich Rod said no.
