re: How big of a game is Mizzou for LSU in terms of BK’s standing with the fanbase?

I don't think anyone has described baton rouge as pleasant in a long time as it stands.

I think they lose to Bama and at least one of the other three.

Rant won't get unlocked until 5 pm Monday.

I expect Mizzou to win. That lsu defense can’t begin to stop anything.
He will have to make staff changes and recruit better if he wants to win.
Seems like a pretty arrogant guy considering he hasn’t won’t anything.

Going to be interesting for sure.

From the message board fans? HUGE. He will be crucified if he loses.
From normal people who have been fans for decades and follow it for fun? It's at Missouri at 11 am. Willing to wait and see.
Bottom line, most people were under complete awareness of how things had fallen apart in 2020/2021. Last year was quite a pleasant surprise. Most of us don't have knee jerk psycho reactions. There is always other ways to enjoy a Saturday.

Depends. Are you assuming the TRant is representative of the LSU fanbase? If so, you could logically assume that the SECRant is representative of all fanbases and that, my friend, makes we sad for our world.
To answer your question directly, I would believe if the defense continues to struggle and underperform that BK would make a change in the offseason.
If you've followed the assistant hires at LSU, TRant was ecstatic about the House hire and troubled by the Denbrock hire, so there's a little nugget for you to chew on!

It doesn’t really matter if he wins or loses. LSU is stuck with him for the next 5 years minimum

I think the thing that pisses most LSU fans off is that they are wasting a year where their offense can win them every game with a defense that is playing them out of very winnable games.
It’s the same thing ole miss has gone through under Kiffin, but traditionally LSU has always had an above average or elite defense to go with the years the offense lights up the league.

LSU fans just aren’t used to a shitty defense.

I don't know why people are writing off Mizzou. I suspect most haven't even seen them play.
LSU has a self-confidence problem. That happens when expectations are high and you drop a couple games.
I think this will be a close game.

Let's be real man... it's Mizzou. They are not on the same level whatsoever
Connor Ballsack dragged his nuts all over your pitiful team in 2020 to the tune of 400+ yards, an 85% completion rate, and 4 TDs.
That D is worse and our O is better than that season.

A yes! A win in 1978 and a Covid year W. Mizzou must be very good at football!!
My favorite bullshite thing on the rant is discrediting losses for the most absurd reasons. Today I learned that a loss doesn't count because it happened in the year 1978 or because COVID limited attendance at Faurot Field in 2020. Wouldn't that help LSU?
If LSU had won these games, would they be worthless?
Posted on 10/3/23 at 11:13 am to father2sons
I think it has the potential to be a defining loss if it happens. Not because Missouri isn't a good team this year, they are, but because of how LSU fans perceive their football program as a whole compared to how they perceive Missouri's football program.

Maybe he's in his Bilbo Aggins year and goes 5-7. Naw who are we kidding he will go 7-5 at a minimum even with that _efense.

If he loses to Mizzou. Then loses to Auburn, will be be fired last the last two coaches that lost to Auburn?

Losing on the road to a T25 team? normally not a massive hit...
you have not met most LSU poster

Missouri has been the grim reaper for a lot of coaches in the SEC. We were basically the boat man for the conference at one point. SEC programs do not take kindly to losing to Missouri. Right or wrong that’s the way it is.
