When you say shoving the ball down LSU's throat, you referring to this?

Rushing No Gain Loss Net TD Lg Avg
-------------------------------------------------
Mark Ingram 21 97 0 97 1 13 4.6
T. Richardson 6 28 0 28 0 22 4.7
Julio Jones 1 5 0 5 0 5 5.0
Greg McElroy 3 0 28 -28 0 0 -9.3
Totals... 31 130 28 102 1 22 3.3

I think you're missing something here my friend our top 2 ball carriers had over 4.5 yds per carry on 27 rushes.. McElwain wanted GMac to win the game for us.. there was no reason at all to throw the ball 34 times in that game. Most Bama fans were LIVID that we didn't just STUFF it down your throats last year, You know like we did in '09:
Mark Ingram 22-144 = 6.5
Trent Richardson 6-27= 4.5

If you think you shutdown our running game last year your are SERIOUSLY mistaken.. WE shut down the run on ourselves.

you forget that Trent quit in that game. Were they gonna give Ingram 45 carries to offset Trent quitting like a little baby?

Isn't McElwain still the OC? Did I miss something? Why will this year be different?

Thanks. I thought you guys would be bigger on defense. I guess you have one of the fastest D's around but I'm starting to feel good about shoving the ball down your throat with Trent.

our little whimpy guys against you huge monsters scares me to death. i'm starting to have bad dreams about this game. we don't have a friggin' chance.

Excuses for the last game are silly. They just got flat out outcoached all around!

Yep, I wanted to see if that fast defense was small enough for Bama to just run right at it with power running Nostradamus.
You do realize that we had a small line last year and the continually blew up your O-Line.

Drake Nevis 6'2" 285.......Michael Brockers 6'6" 300
Pep Levingston 6'4" 280....Bennie Logan 6'3" 280
Lavar Edwards 6'5" 265.....Sam Montgomery 6'4" 245
Chancey Aghayere 6'4" 264..Kiki Mingo 6'5" 237

Also our depth is our strength. We run 8 deep Bama won't just see the starting 4. They'll see: Lavar Edwards, Ken Adams, Josh Downs and Anthony Johnson. Mingo will be huge on 3rd and medium/longs. Were built on speed and that speed coming around the edge, well lets just say that big arse tackle won't be half way out of his stance before Mingo/Montgomery are feasting on AJ. That is if they beat Tyrann there.

Did he all of a sudden grow some heart?

Your Offensive line played like garbage against Tennessee. Did you see that game?

Let's take our last common opponent and factor in that Bama played Tennessee AT HOME.

Tennessee ran for 111 yards against LSU.
Tennessee ran for 92 yards against Alabama.

Not a huge difference.

LSU ran for 237 yards against Tennessee and gave up 0 sacks.

Alabama ran for 143 yards against Tennessee and gave up 3 sacks, I believe (stats don't show it, looking at negative rushing plays for QB and team).

Bama's offense could not do jack against Tennessee in the first half, so they came out throwing the ball to loosen things up. Still, Bama did not run very well against a defense that LSU shredded with the run game the weak before.

Explain that.

Well, then you don't hustle. I've seen plenty of big Bama LBs dragging tail this season and not flying to the ball. The Tennessee game (at home) is an excellent case in point. Compare the way the Bama D played against Tennessee with the way the LSU D played against Auburn and you will see what I am talking about.

You are NOT going to win this game. Get that in your head.

Wait, the Tennessee game is a case in point of poor LB play from Bama? I must have been watching a different game.
Why would you compare the way the Bama D played against Tennessee with the way LSU D played against Auburn, when both teams played Tennessee?
I think LSU wins, but to think it will be because of lackluster LB play from Bama? Strange.

I hate when fans think there are dumbass conspiracy's like this. McElwain wanted to win the game and knew that the running came wasn't doing shite and if you recall we hurt Richardson it was all Ingram and he couldn't get shite going. The reason why Bama threw the ball so much was Julio was beating PP7. Julio was the only person last year to score a TD against him.

Those stats do not favor Bama and therefore do not matter!
