correct. This year LSU has much better defense, offense and special teams. has Bama improved in all 3 phases like we have? NO!

If AJ can't make a few plays it won't matter who y'all run out there. If our safeties can cheat up it's going to be a long night for Bama. However, I fully expect Bama to take their shots down the field. If they can hit just one Chavis will back off and TR will run wild.

Why would you compare the way the Bama D played against Tennessee with the way LSU D played against Auburn, when both teams played Tennessee?
Ok. Then look above at my Tennessee comparisons.
Bama threw for more yardage against Tennessee than LSU did because their running game was stalled. LSU just kept running the ball down Tennessee's throat and chewed up clock and didn't have to throw.
LSU time of possession versus Tennessee: 38:19
Alabama time of possesssion versus Tennessee: 32:18

care to put a wager on that? How about if we(LSU) cover you are never allowed to post on this board AGAIN? and the same with me if I lose. deal? ok, now i need admins or somebody to save this and administer it when it happens to either of us. Please accept this bet gump. you have to win by 11 or more if you give me a +10 per your post above. We have to lose by 9 or less or win for me to win. if Bama wins by exactly 10 the bet is a push and nobody leaves. DEAL??????????

I agree that the LSU offense is better than Bama's, but you were comparing the defenses, not the offenses. Specifically the LBs from Bama being slow to the ball in the Tennessee game. Which either proves you didn't watch it, or you were being a douchey homer just like the guy you were arguing against.

I watched it. Poole was gashing Bama's defense. Tennessee ran for 92 yards against Bama.
You know what, though? I'll give you the point that Bama's LBs played well in that game. I have just heard that they were superhuman and that LSU would not run at all against Bama because of how great they were and I specifically watched the Tennessee game play by play and realized that LSU can run on this team.
So, yes, I overstated the truth of the matter. Bama has good, big, fast LBs. They just aren't the monsters that Bama fans make them out to be. My comment was in comparison to BamaFan, not reality.
Thanks for the correction. I should give credit where it is due. Bama has a very good football team and a VERY good defense. But, LSU will move the ball on them. That is more a testament to LSU than a knock on Bama, though.

So if AJ hits one pass of 30+, TR runs wild on LSU?

No, not at all. if we do not stop the run the game is lost anyway. we have to continue making them beat us deep if they want to win. Sure, Aj will probably hit a couple passes deep. but that is it. teams are only 6 of 47 against us in 15 yard or more passes all year and we have 7 INT's out of those passes. do the math and see what the averages are.

Brockers, downs, freak, Logan are very near 300#'s. brockers and freak are over 300. Doesn't seem small to me

If you honestly didn't start this thread to flame, you would have just typed "lsu football roster" into google, instead of: Coming to the SEC board, starting a new topic, typing the whole question out, replying to everyone's responses, and arguing your arse off.

Doesnt matter how much bigger your oline is compared to our dline. Question is can they get out of their stance fast enough to slow our dline down and stop then from filling the holes.
Ok, I'll play: Can LSU's 5 OLinemen get enough push on Bama's 3 DLinemen so that the Bama LBs aren't scraping and running free???

I don't blame you guys for being confident but Bama is the best team this year.
Well then why are you even excited about or talking about this game? Why even watch it?
I mean, it won't even be celebration worthy when you beat just little ole LSU.

Lsu's offense is better. The reason our numbers are not very good is because of time consuming drives. We run more then pass, but when we do pass we are more successfully then most teams in the nation. And the option is always there to march right down the field slinging it. We did so in a couple games this year with great success. Of course that opens the run back up and vice versa

you forget that Trent quit in that game. Were they gonna give Ingram 45 carries to offset Trent quitting like a little baby?
Really? That's where you wanna go? After the embarassing LSU Crampfest the prior year? Including te vaunted PP7? You're a better poster than that...

If this thread isn't the biggest pile of Bama insecurity I have ever read, I don't know what is.
If you're losing sleep at night over this game, coming on here asking for weight encouragement is not going to help you.

My only contention was your statement on Alabama's LBs - who are without a doubt the strength of that team.
I am with you on the fact that LSU has looked more impressive on offense, and have bludgeoned every team they played, and then killed them with play action. I think it will be a war to the end. IMO LSU has more depth, and better skill players which will help them pull out the win.

Lsu is very dynamic and unpredictable/explosive.
Big time x factor there. Oh the uncertainty
