Maybe the Tide can top their stellar running performance against Tennessee last week
143 yards and 3.8 YPC
Yep. A team that we ran against for 237 and 4.8 ypc in THEIR place.
That stat should settle it. It would if the Bama Fans had not already quit.

[quote]Actually, our numbers are very good, but I think I know what you meant (in reference to Bama's). The reasons are exactly as you said, including:
1.) We run heavy and chew up the clock. 2.) We get out in front and basically shut the offense off and start grinding out the game. 3.) We have played tougher competition. 4.) When we get up, and go conservative, our defense stays on the field, and other teams start to win the "stat war." 5.) We don't care if we go 3 and out, or the defense gives up some yards/first downs, if we are up by 30+ late in the game.
LSU imposed their will on everyone they've played.
THIS.
Our philosophy is different from Alabama. For example, LSU was beating Auburn 42-3 midway through the 3rd quarter. We shut it down at that point. Auburn had like 150 total yards and then tacked on that TD drive at the end with about 2 minutes to go.
That has happened all season.
Randle did not catch a pass in the second half of the Auburn game. He was done at halftime. Our stats would be much better if we were going full speed for 4 quarters - we have not had to do that in a single game all year.
We'll do it next Saturday, though.[quote]
Boy you guys are dumb.. So LSU gives up yards at the end of games cause they don't care..?
NO TEAM wants to give up garbage yards at the end of a game are y'all serious?
So does Bama NOT give up yards because they care too much... Or is it because our backups are really good?

CRIMSON CHIN why did you RUN AWAY? You are a coward for running your big fat gump mouth and not willing to back it up. pathetic. I am willing to never post on SEC RANT ever again if bama wins by more than 10 as per your prediction. If LSU wins or loses by 9 or less you never post here again. That was the offer if you scroll back. Man up. Let's do this.

Yeah, you aren't as good as last year.
Your schedule is a complete joke. Tennessee was in your backfield the whole first half and was shutting down your running game with a bunch of freshmen and sophomores. They gave out because they don't have any depth and you took over the game.
It wasn't because you were uninspired. They beat you at the line of scrimmage for the entire first half.
Bama is a good, not great team. You have feasted on very weak teams. That will change next week. LSU's speed will take over the game.
Post Of the Year ! Its like he was reading my mind

I thought you guys would be bigger on defense. I guess you have one of the fastest D's around but I'm starting to feel good about shoving the ball down your throat with Trent. I did notice that you have a decent sized OL and a stable of big bruising RB's. I like our defense to slow your running game with how big our front seven is though. Good luck.
I wanted to see if that fast defense was small enough for Bama to just run right at it with power running Nostradamus. Bama has the size and players to run the ball against LSU, it's the passing game that has me worried. We'll run the ball and use the short passing game cause the LSU secondary ain't gonna let much get deep for sure. Our biggest advantage is that we have a very big and physical defense capable of stopping the run of LSU. Bama has the best defense in America.
This ain't last year bro.
Bama has the better defense, the better RB and we're at home. We win by 10 plus.
I'll bet the tiger rant will be down after the game. I don't blame you guys for being confident but Bama is the best team this year. Defense wins championships bro and our defense is better than yours.
