Still I think LSU track is in good hands....
Dennis shaver: we could do better, but we could also do MUCH worse. He's dealt a difficult hand having to replace Pat Henry. He's had some really tough breaks with the men's side having multiple elite talents being dismissed from the program. He also doesn't have the facilities that compare to his peers, though we've come a long way.
Like every collegiate sport, there's just so much parity these days. Pat Henry doesn't exactly dominate anymore. A&M, LSU, Arkansas, Florida, Oregon, and Florida State all have top tier programs now. No one will ever dominate like Arkansas men and LSU women did for the majority of championship history

Where is the breaking point though? I'd hate to be that school that miscalculated and reaches too far too late in the curve.
Only a very few of the 14 schools don't appear to be participating in the facilities upgrades. I haven't seen anything about Vandy's plans, for example. Some schools don't have as much to do as others.
It's a wonderful luxury to have the money to build adequate facilities and to keep them in tip-top shape. They attract more fans, too.

Arena > practice center, you went opposite and that hasn't worked out too well for you.

Yep. That was a money saving scheme by Pete Boone (our old AD).
Maybe we won't have games rained out now.

The third deck should be going up shortly.
Kind of difficult to make out the central hall for that side of the stadium, but it will be a three story open space. Pretty damn cool and what I assume to be fairly unique in college football stadiums.

That steel is going up fast. The finish work will probably take every hour until the first kickoff though.

Great to see all this amazing construction! The thing to remember is, with the SECN money ramping up faster than anticipated, every school in this conference will be boasting amazing facilities in the future!
Seriously. I bet in 24 months, the proposed plans and started construction projects on the 14 campuses will be insane. Rich get richer...

The finish will all be interior stuff for super elite. No chance anything that matters isn't ready by Aug (first game is in Sept).

Our goal is to provide Alabama Baseball with the facility it needs to compete for championships. The cost of this stadium project is approximately $42 million of which the Crimson Tide Foundation must raise a minimum of $20 million through private donor support.
Wait what? They don't have enough money yet?

They have plenty, they just wanted to pay half of it with donations.
