I agree that it was good awareness by Dyer, but it was an anomalous play. So yea it was a fluke.
Oregon also left a LOT of points on the field that game. I remember thinking Oregon probably should have won, and that Auburn was a relatively weak champion.

we had a perfect opportunity to beat them on our home field with a team full of studs and we couldn’t pull it off. I don’t care if we were playing the Saints. other than some of Fairley’s criminal antics, i didn’t think much about Cam about other than that he was an absolute beast on the field.
I grew up in BR and have lived in Charlotte since 1997 and frankly, I hate Cam a LOT worse now than I did then. the guy has some serious psychological issues. Never seen such a prima donna in my life. I hate seeing kids around here wear his jersey. but you’d be surprised at how few do now. it’s all Mcaffrey these days. Cam’s is a clinical level of self-worship such that it can only be some kind of disorder.
but as far as 2010, the guy was dominant. he was the opponent and he outplayed us. that’s about the sum total of what I think of it.

I mean they won. They were the best team and Cam was the best player on the field when we played them. I doubt Patrick Peterson just decided to come to Baton Rouge without extra incentives. Any competitive team that bitched about other schools cheating probably doesn't want the NCAA snooping around their program. It's done at all competitive programs.

I wanted to see Auburn get nailed so bad because I was convinced they paid Cam.
But it's obvious the NCAA is a shell of its former self. Nobody fears them anymore. They are nothing like the Gestapo as Daddy Dale called them.
I respect the hell out of Cam and what Auburn accomplished. The Camback. Last perfect season in the SEC. Nobody could stop them.

Agreed.
It's the people who seriously believe their team doesn't or never would cheat that annoy me.
Some schools are just much better at hiding it.

The NCAA is literally the schools, you do know this right? If the school presidents wanted this shite cleaned up, it would be.

I never had a problem with it. Auburn was the best SEC team in 2010 and the best in the nation as well.

Anytime the discussion of “Pick any college player to start a team with” comes up, Cam is always my pick.
He was dominant. Couldn’t care less if he got paid.
Also, I went to the Iron Bowl that year with my Bama buddy and witnessed the Camback. Which was delicious.

Had no problem with it. Auburn won it on the field and they have my congratulations for what they accomplished. We (LSU fans) would certainly never allow something like this to drive us utterly insane and result in the poisoning of a historic landmark. Other so called "blue bloods" can't make that claim.
