Yes Odom was going to turn that defense into an elite one within the first year. Yep that defense is stacked with draft prospects.
Yet he knows the SEC!
That is a huge difference. Yet your team took a loss to Ole Miss and many Arkansas fans saying Arkansas will win the game. Odom isn't going to fix everything each time. Good at one there then blows it the next game. Seen it when he was the HC. The following year after beating those same teams he loses to them.

Our dumbass schedule has worn down our defense. He’s still the man.

Arkansas played against a Georgia team that was much superior on the LOS. Then the next game played against one of the best offensive teams in the nation. Unless he inherited a substantial amount of talent then he will struggle. He has a defense that has walk ons and Illinois State transfers as the starters.
Sam had to hit the portal hard last year because Arkansas had zero depth. He will have to do so again this year. Tell me how many NFL prospects does this defense have? How many would start for other SEC teams?

No depth was the concern before the season. If any starter on defense gets hurt especially the linebackers then they are SOL.

Have you checked the latest roster for all SEC teams? Mizzou ranked almost dead last and very far behind the 12th place team. It is a huge drop off. That is why I am saying give Drinkwitz the time to build the football program like Stoops is doing at Kentucky.

They looked better because Georgia was erratic on offense and Grant Morgan, Bumper Pool and Hayden Henry were fresh. But when Georgia started figuring what to do then they wore down a defense with severe depth issues.

The crazy thing is two of our three linebackers that get major reps are former walk ons. We have one SEC caliber linebacker that was a recruited player and he’s a senior. I love Grant Morgan but he was out of his depth on Saturday. We’ve gotta start getting dudes on defense.
Regarding the OP, our defense has been so shitty for so long that we’re not going to jump ship on Odom over a few bad weeks. The fact that the defense occasionally shows up is a huge improvement.

That schedule really was frontloaded as hell, how much longer till you get a bye?

In 2019 Arkansas had a horrible defense. They improved to terrible last year. Now they have improved to being bad. The defense was the worst hit when Chad decided to run off 37-40 players in two years.

UAPB is our bye. Our third string needs some snaps.

I mean, his defense at mizzou always seemed better than what you got now
This is not wrong. BO is a great defensive coordinator, his issues is when he tries to wear the HC/recruiting hat. In turn, that's why Mizzou is in it's current shape.

Arkansas doesn’t have great depth yet. That takes time. That first unit is really damn good though. Having to play 8 quarters in 8 days against the Georgia offensive line and the Ole Miss running game will tire your legs.

If my team gave up 35 to North Texas I would be deflecting too

It's a bad look to shite on Odom. He's a former player, alum, and head coach. I wish him well and hope he crushes it wherever he goes.

Georgia beat us twice.
I know Pittman said they wouldn't, but it's almost impossible to avoid it when your primary advantage is emotion, like ours is.
Give Odom some more horses and he'll be fine.
