we deserve all the rant abuse we get over this if AU pays 21 million and puts together a search committee to hire an assistant coach already on staff.

Yea, I don't get it. Malzahn is a good coach and there's no way Auburn should be paying that ridiculous buyout. Malzahn's problem is recruiting. Your current class is crap. But the AD should have just told him to hire some better recruiters and stick it out with Malzahn until you can negotiate a better contract. sheesh

AU's new HC has a game to coach on Saturday before being named on Sunday. The only questions is which conference is he actually coaching in as of today.
