I can’t imagine a guy like Smithy winning the Heisman as the 3rd best player at his position - in his own division.

Smith is a guy who has leadership value which vaults him to the top in my eyes. He may not be the most talented, but he would be my top WR pick if I were starting a team.

In 2020, the 3rd best Wr gets a trophy and the CFB national champion goes 8-0.

his style has completely devolved though. I mean he's become the epitome of "rent free." It's in his avatar, his signature, it's the focus of just about every post he makes. He's also got this wacky italics/bolding thing going on now too. Very attention seeking.

It's like this season completely broke him and his brain is permanently stuck in full-melt

He's the best this year period and will take home the hardware tomorrow night to prove it.

Could've been Chase but he quit. You know, they say 90 percent of success is just showing up.

We need those GIFs of the undertaker that a couple bama players were posting a few years ago regarding injured guys returning.

His avg per game is 6.25 receptions for 139.25 yards. Jamar Chase averaged 6.0 repections for 127.1 yards.

Chase in his last 16 games:
1,873 yards
21 TDs

Wandle in his last 32 games:
1,965 yards
17 TDs

See? Now I am not saying Whadel isn’t solid - he is. But I have him as a late 2nd rounder in my latest mock. While I have Chase as the #1 pick.

his career is very similar to a guy like Ardarius Stewart

Despite not being the featured receiver, Waddle has averaged almost 6 more YPR over his career than Stewart.

I'm skeptical he can perform at a high level with limited conditioning. This would be all risk, low reward for both him personally and Alabama. If he dresses out, they may get him in briefly for a symbolic appearance

Skeptical based on what? All the information about his recovery that you don't have makes you somehow more knowledgeable than the doctors and others involved?

I mean how in the world can you even remotely pretend to know what his status is?

And for the record, it was always thought he could possibly come back this early if he didn't suffer setbacks.

Don’t be that way!

Saban is letting JW put on the jersey one last time and watch from his wheel chair. It’s a great send off

Seems to be someone who will at least be a consistent, hard working producer for whatever team drafts him. Hopefully Chase's quitter attitude isn't a sign that he's another Odell Beckham. Worlds of talent but mentally soft.

We'll see. I hope both do well for themselves.
