These guys are actually practicing faking injuries in practice.

Someone said on another board that the HUNH first appeared in the NFL around the time Saban was the defensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns.
When was Saban the DC at Cleveland? I seem to remember the Bills and the Bengals running some form of a no huddle back in the early 90s.

I think it was Buffalo that would either not huddle up, or huddle up much closer to the LoS - maybe 5 years as opposed to 10 - and would often break out of it quickly and rush to the line.

They don't go to commercial every time a player gets injured.

No that's apples and oranges. Can't wait until we fake more injuries against the Aggies this year so y'all can cry about it.

Not true at all. He could have had the wind knocked out of him and, while trying to get to the sideline, fell down in pain. Some guys are back the very next play due to the injury time out taken by the network.

Require the player to be on the sideline for the next 2-3 plays. That'll curb the bullshite.

That won't curb anything. The players need a sub. They are probably gonna be out 2-3 plays to rest anyway. It would have to be more than that.

I disagree. I don't like the HUNH. I think it's cheap. I encourage the faking of injuries. Why can't they just play regular old ball and not have to speed the game up?

Probably should do away with the forward pass too while we're at it.

How long has it been since you watched the SEC on CBS? They go to commercial for every little thing it seems.

No it's apples to apples just because you don't like something that doesn't mean it's wrong.

Nick Saban fears a lack of control more than anything. The HUNH takes control out of his hands, and he will do anything to stop it.

IMO it makes it more entertaining to watch. If its "cheap" then play action, reverses, option plays along with more are plays designed to trick the defense or expose a weakness also are. Unless you honestly think every play should be a straight up run or pass then I don't look at it any differently than the types of plays I listed.

Get rid of Gatorade and use good old fashioned tap water too.

Why do these teams need to run it? It's because you lack defense and a power running game. It should be limited in a way. But it can't be. So other teams will slow it down by fakin injuries. I encourage this and hope it happens a lot.

If player safety is really a concern for coaches and players were really injured, they should stay out for at least more than 20 seconds(typical HUNH play time)

Yeah, that's all fine and dandy, but Gus Malzahn's HUNH offense does focus on the power running game. It's one of the few spread offenses that do. Maybe you should look back at the 2010 Auburn vs LSU game for an example. How many rushing yards did Auburn have in that game, again? And when's the last time Auburn's offense, under Gus Malzahn, didn't have a solid rushing offense?
