Most in this thread have convicted Ruggs and sentenced him to prison already. Unless they have additional information they are not sharing, how they reached that conclusion is baffling given what little information is publicly available.

So much for our closely-held belief of "innocent until proven guiity."

yes, I'm sure it was all a misunderstanding...

If you want to skip the next 8 mos. to 1 yr, here's the ending:

Civil suit- settled out of ct for undisclosed amount.
Criminal action- probation, agreed to by victims' families who want to forego the pain of a criminal trial.

2022 season, Ruggs continues the important things in his life like catching footballs.

I never said there was a misunderstanding. All I said was none of us know the facts, yet many have already jumped to the conclusion Ruggs was driving impaired, caused the collision, and should be convicted and imprisoned.

It blows my mind why rich athletes can't seem to call a taxi, an Uber, something to get them home safely when they are out partying, and to spare innocent people's lives. Prayers go out to the innocent drivers loved ones.

Tragedy all the way around.

Well the police are charging him with being impaired. He rear ended a vehicle with enough force to kill the driver and set it on fire. I am not a court of law so I will go ahead and call him a piece of shite.

Should definitely be sent to prison for a long time. Drunk drivers are the absolute worst.

Prayers for the family of the person killed and for the people injured. His career is almost certainly over, and that appears to be his own fault. Sad way for it to end.

Damn, caught driving under the influence and rear ending someone, which resulted in their immediate death? Yikes. This has prison time written all over it. He really is done.

If guilty, send him to prison. No sympathy.

I don't know how he would ever get his life back in order if wrongfully convicted on the SEC Rant

What about Leonard Little? He played most of his career after killing someone in a drunk wreck

Yep Little was the case where the family wanted money more than him paying for the crime.
