To round it out at 20 and finalize things.

LSU probably needs to go the independent route since they are what Notre Dame used to be.
LSU can get their own tv deal.
Bama, UGA, Aggies been riding our coattails for too long and we don't need Texas joining them.

UNC and UVA are two liberal arse schools that have no business in the SEC.

As for VT and NC State, well NC State is a joke 99% of the time. VT would be a great fit but WE DO NOT NEED TO ADD ANY OTHER TEAMS!

Adding those schools is going to ruin the conference I love.

Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Clemson for our gentlemen friends.

You might get NC State and Virginia Tech but North Carolina and Virginia will go to the B1G.

Given pretty much everyone of your predictions on here in the last year turn out incorrect — call me crazy — but I think I’ll wait and see before going with your thoughts. Thanks though.

Way back in the day, when Mike Slive ran things ... supposedly UNC and UVA were the two apples of his eye. Both land grant schools. Both in established college only towns, which is where and why the SEC thrives.

I agree with you, in many ways. But I've read in multiple spots that was where Mike Slive had his eyes set.

Well VT would absolutely throw a fit with politicians if UVA got an invite to the SEC or BIG. Did the same thing when at first the ACC didn’t want them.

And it's funny. Because regardless of what Mike Slive thought - and his record was pretty much beyond reproach regarding how he guided the SEC - I think Va Tech and NC State would fit so much better, culturally in the SEC. Virginia and UNC are too much "old money". Too Texas - as we're going to learn.

Va Tech and N.C. State would have been the bomb as far as expansion goes. Still would, maybe.

Yeah, but VA Tech fans are delusional. They act like they have the history of Michigan, yet Ole Miss is likely better.
UVA-UNC adds a great rivalry, and adds to basketball and baseball. Neither are great in football, but we added Missouri, which added TV markets, and little else.

Yeah. But they won't start insisting the league meetings convene in Charlotte. Hence my point. Va Tech would have been fine. NC State would be. But you take a Virginia or North Carolina ?

Then we have to start holding tourneys in Greensboro. Just like Texas is already starting to chirp regarding Dallas and such.

You'll learn. We'll all learn. It's already starting, regarding Texas.

When we expand to 20, I heard we are cutting back to 2 conference games a year.

That way it will only take 40 years to go home and home.
