Ole Miss is doing the same thing.
Except it’s replacing a shitty parking lot and enhancing the entrance to the stadium/ expanding capacity to ~75k

At least they are putting up a parking deck.
The future of pro and college urban stadiums will see tailgate areas/entertainment areas on top of 4 r 5 level parking decks.

This thing looks atrocious.
I will say the tailgate scene around Neyland stadium is severely lacking compared to most other SEC schools based on the 2 times I’ve been there. Lots of sitting in parking lots and not much else to do. The real tailgating seems to take place on the river, I’ll have to do that next time.

G10 is the number 1 tailgating spot at UT as well as the main parking garage for all students. If you are from knoxville you grew up tailgating on G10 with your friends and family. If you were a student at UT then you most likely got a parking ticket in G10 one time. Yes its a staple
You don't have a fricking clue. You say that with such great authority, and it is completely wrong.
G10 is the money lot. It is NOT student parking, unless the student or parents are pretty serious donors.
I lost my G10 pass when other donors surpassed me. One of my close friends family endows an academic scholarship in her father's name to the business school. Her father has his name on things around the campus. They were going to pull her G10 pass because she didn't donate enough to athletics. She told them that her family would pull the scholarship which is awarded annually. UT relented.
Call the Tennessee Fund to day. Ask how much the estimate you need to donate to get the G10 lot.
G10 is student parking.
Have you ever even been to Neyland?

I don't know if you are aware of this, but UT is a school, and there are 7 home games a year. Every other day of the year, besides the occasional Saturday, it's primarily student parking lol

lol, there's almost 2000 parking spaces, and it's existed since the early 90s. Unless you are poor as shite, then you almost definitely primarily tailgated on it prior to the Jeremy Pruitt years. They didn't even start aggressively prioritizing donor parking till less than 10 years ago lol

lol you are crying cause you are too poor to park there 7 days a year? You definitely didn't even go to college at UT, and you know literally nothing about what you are talking about. If you are mad about the cost of parking at Tennessee games, then you should not even venture to the new entertainment district cause I guarantee you won't be able to buy the cheapest beer, much less get a ticket for the game. Maybe its good Danny is pricing out idiots like you

If the fat cats get a walking bridge right in to the stadium, they will enjoy that upper level parking deck entertainment area.

Tennessee Fund.
I have given UT more money than you make, I simply refused to increase, and cut back to bare minimum to keep my seats (the ones they gave me after they took my others for "premium seating"}.
You don't have a clue.
No, I am no longer donating thousands per year for a parking place, and neither are you.

I can buy your arse for what you think you are worth. Sell you for what you are really worth, and afford to take the loss.
I have watched you for a month now, spouting incorrect bullshite about UT.
You are a TV fan.

This is coming to all major programs in America I bet
Missouri has issued an RFI to developers interested in public/private developement for several areas around campus - the most obvious play is the area around the entire athletic "campus". Mixed use for condos, private housing for students, entertainment, restaurants, etc are all on the table. I have not heard what if any responses they have received so nothing definite at this point.
I think in Mizzou's case they can actually use this - as there really is NOTHING else around our Athletic facilities. It is over a mile to the main downtown bar/restaurant area, so a 15 to 20 minute walk. This has long been a knock on our football atmosphere that there are very few (any?) places near the stadium for the non-tailgate crowds (or Mizzou Arena for basketball games).

Broad expansion of meaningless bowl games--> Opt Outs --> Transfer portal --> NIL --> come after tailgating for a Disney Springs restaurant experience --> ??? --> CFB culture is dead

Hey retard, G10 doesn't exist anymore. You can't park there this season so what are you talking about
quote:
I have given UT more money than you make
You obviously don't because you got your parking pass taken, and I have never been moved down the donor list and had my pass taken. It took them destroying the structure for me to lose my access

You don't have a clue.
I have been parking in G10 since the 90s, so yes, I do

Yes, because you couldn't afford it

That's the gayest, most insecure thing I have ever read on this site. You couldn't even afford G10

You didn't even go to college there. You didn't even know it's primarily student parking. I hope they take away whatever seats in the upper bowl they put you in. Free up some space for people who actually donate to the team on the field and know about the university

You don't know anything about Tennessee. You act you are some authority, and you post bullshite not expecting to get called on it.

Welcome to the SEC Rant mo debumly.
Surely you are a big time Tennessee donor as you claim who just discovered this site and not just some new alter created to pick fights and increase site traffic.
Scanning your 48 post history I see about 1/3 are calling someone here an idiot, clown, jackass, gay, etc. Another 1/3 are racist as hell or promoting white supremacy.
So you could be a real Tennessee booster.

Understand the concept and all along with them wanting to make money, improve experience, etc. I just think at SEC schools with the massive attendances this area would be an overcrowded nightmare of long lines and waits for food, drinks, etc. May be a cool thing in off-season and non game days depending on what was there but only school it would work for during the season would be Vanderbilt because the entertainment district could easily entertain all 3,000 fans.

Holy fuuck you are stupid. No shite its not student parking on gameday. Student parking gets subbed out everywhere on campus for gameday parking. God, you are stupid, and obviously didn't go to Tennessee. I said tearing down G10 displaces student parking every other day of the year.
