Which part of what I said is made up? I can provide links to any of it.

I'm guessing this is some elaborately pathetic deflection to distract from the fact that Bama tried to stop a girl from going home to take care of her DYING brother.

And for the record, I wasn't alive in the 80s. I'm not a pathetic old man discussing teenagers young enough to be my sons on the internet, like you apparently are.

Well, you'd have to be born 1980 and have a kid when you were 19 for him to be 18 in 2017.

What happened to Daisha Simmons? Did Alabama release her?

You may not be Lane. But I am sure Auburn fans that know you, feel the same.

Since you don't want to say. She got her release. Also her story about the dying brother was played up a little. She wanted to leave because she was not admitted into the MBA program. Said she was leaving. Then told coaches she was coming back.

Only after literally months of being villainized and becoming a national embarrassment for essentially trying to murder a young man with no personal ties to the University, just to try and prove a point.

Just because Bama finally relented under national pressure at the last possible second doesn't make up for the way that poor little girl was victimized by having to publicly release the intimate details of her family's private struggles for shame, Bama. For shame

Make it up as you go.

She was leaving because she was not admitted into the MBA program. Then the narrative changed.

But you are going to believe what you want to. And the funny thing about this thread is I was defending Auburn blocking Jackson. I didn't have to make up a story about Ohio State flirting with him still to justify it. But that is now fact to you that OSU talked him into the transfer. Right..

I had a close friend growing up. Big Auburn fan. Like most Auburn fans switched to Auburn back in the 80's during the winning streak. Always talked about Alabama. I guess he thought it made him a better fan if he trashed Alabama all the time. He would make up stuff and believe it himself. Would quote his own lies as gospel. All the other Auburn fans I knew couldn't stand him. They thought he made all Auburn fans look bad.

I'm telling you this because I have a question for you.
Is your first name Lane?

Only Bama would block a transfer UAB (or dying family members)

I don't like them blocking Ohio State, FWIW. I can understand why if Urban Meyer and Gus Malzahn have bad blood between them, and if I remember correctly, his college choice came down to Ohio State and Auburn, but I still don't like it.

Like I said I don't really have an issue with it, I was just asking for reasons why.

I'm not convincd we'd take him at this point. We are a little deeper at DT than we expected to be given how well guys like dremont jones have played.

Jackson was a little undersized to begin with and now there are hustle/ work ethic questions.

Pass.

Chances are he wants to transfer for a stupid reason.

Who cares why he wants to transfer? He's unhappy, he's not an Auburn football player anymore. Why should we take the opportunity away from him to pursue his goals elsewhere?

I doubt Ohio State would even want him if he couldn't make it at Auburn but we look petty blocking him.

I just think if you were to ask the all time greats of college football if they had ever thought about quitting football or transferring in their freshmen years. Most would say they thought about it. Some may have even talked to coaches about it. The kid chose Auburn for a reason.

You and I can disagree. My point is I agree with Auburn on this one.

Three reasons.

First reason being, he is a RS freshman that has been on campus ONE freaking year and is already set to play a ton. This isn't a 3rd year sophomore that hasn't sniffed the field situation.

Second, Ohio State was his runner up in the recruiting cycle and the AU staff was fairly pissed at a "low" level of recruiting they felt Meyer and his staff conducted.

Third, OSU treated Jamal Dean and Carlton Davis (two current AU dbs and former OSU commits terribly). Dean was on campus and forced out after failing his medical tests only to pass them at AU which were performed by James Andrews. Once, Carlton Davis decided to look around OSU coaches tried to push him away from AU, Miami, FSU and UGA and towards Kentucky, USF and UCF.

Jackson left on his own and got the normal restrictions and OSU because as also alluded to that's what happens when you flirt.

Also rumor has it that Jackson was lazy in practice, lazy in off-season workouts, and pretty much lazy all-around.

That kind of effort doesn't buy you a lot of good will walking out the door.
