We plan on playing Ohio St. for the NC next year. Duh.
That is a big factor, IMO.

That would be interesting if true.

obviously less than the amount of butthurt post you make...

It fits right in with how these college coaches operate. It is hypocritical and it doesn't think about the kid at all. If you are Auburn or Alabama or some program of that ilk let the kid go. I don't want someone that doesn't want to be with us and I'll go recruit someone better. I like that LSU hasn't done this but that was with Miles not O so we'll see but I'd like to continue no blocking. It just seems petty as hell.

How do you know LSU has not done this?
And didn't LSU just shut down a football camp because a Texas coach was helping. Petty???

because we will be playing OSU in the upcoming playoffs...

Hate Auburn, but good for them. Kids need to learn what commitment is. Sounds like an immature kid.

Maybe they don't like something OSU did in luring the kid away or something. I have seen that happen in basketball.

Just pointing out the hypocrisy.

It's a life lesson. Kid made a commitment. Should stick to it. Auburn has invested time and resources into him. Now if something had changed at Auburn, new coach, new offense or defense. I get it. Let him go.
A lot of Auburn fans didn't see it that way when Maurice Smith wanted to transfer from Alabama to Georgia. It worked out ok for all involved, though, when he intercepted the pass that helped beat Auburn last year.

Smith was a graduate, this guy is a redshirt freshman

Which has absolutely nothing to do with the comment to which I responded...

And I was referring to your actual comment, not to who you were responding to. Most were "concerned" because he was a graduate not for the reasons stated to whom you replied to. He had fulfilled his obligation at that point

Reading comprehension is fundamental.
Speaking of which: it would be "...not to whom you were responding"
Do you guys study English down in Lee County?

Ah...
Sorry you dont like the logic of the discontent not being hypocritical

Oh a grammar check on a message board...I guess it's time to review your post and point out each one...

Gus doesn't want to let him go to a team that might make it to the playoff final against Auburn.

Wish we would just let em transfer. He wants to go to South Carolina
As for Ohio State stuff they were his runner up during his recruitment. There are some that think they were talking with Jackson before a release was granted. That's just a rumor though, nothing verified.
We aren't blocking Marlon Character because he was basically asked to leave. We tried to keep Jackson. I think it's petty and would prefer us not do it but unfortunately it's the trend for most teams right now
