Understandable. Auburn wants to have the best matchup possible in the Citrus Bowl next year. Smart move by Gus IMHO IYAM.

I mean he already has to sit out a year, that's sufficient punishment imo. For whatever reason it didn't work out at AU, he shouldn't be forced to spend the next 4 years miserable and he wouldn't be doing AU any good being around anyway.

I don't see a lesson as a punishment. Chances are he wants to transfer for a stupid reason. Girlfriend broke up with him. A coach hurt his feelings. And most of the time transfers never work out.

If this was some hardship type deal. Moving closer to home. Or God forbid an educational type transfer. I say help him pack.

I am no fan of Malzahn. No real reason. Just something about him I don't like. But he is right in this situation.

Love comments like this....yall took Stidham with open arms. What about the OL from OM that transferred? He doesn't count either I'm guessing.

I'm an Alabama fan. So didn't take Stidham anywhere.

In, before "that's different," "apples to oranges," etc.

As previously stated Character was asked to move on...so no restrictions.

Jackson left on his own and got the normal restrictions and OSU because as also alluded to that's what happens when you flirt.

They recruited him hard out of HS. Maybe we felt like they were still in his ear "recruiting" him after he was here and that they're behind his decision to transfer. That's the only thing that would make logical sense.

That's the excuse Bama uses to block athletes from transferring to UAB, their own sister school, of all places.

Who did Alabama block from going to UAB?

Well it literally is. Stidham came from JUCO, and he left Baylor after all coaches were fired for letting his school become infested with rapists.... Id say that's a pretty legitimate reason to transfer.

As for the Golson kid who came from OM, he grew up an hour away from Auburn in Prattville. He wanted to be close to home and his sick mother. Jackson is from Georgia and trying to go even further away from home, so its clearly not a hardship situation like Golson. And guess what? Golson paid his own tuition for his first year at Auburn because like any normal school would OM blocked transfer to another conference team.

That's two great examples of ways Jackson can still get to South Carolina or Ohio State or anywhere he wants if he REALLY wants to. It's not "unfair" like he's whining. He just wants to take the easy route and have things handed to him because he's lazy.

Justin Knox, basketball player.

Bama cited a made-up rule about athletes not being allowed to transfer within the system. But of course Bama chooses to ignore imaginary rules before that when Mykal Riley transferred from UAB to Bama.
They only follow rules when it benefits them.

Bama even gets petty with women's basketball. LINK

New Jersey native Daisha Simmons tries to transfer to Seton Hall to be close to her DYING brother so she can take him to dialysis but heartless Bama would rather see a human being die just because they couldn't find another player to take her scholarship

quote:

There is a documented concern regarding her brother’s health, too. Simmons’ brother, Chaz, has End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). It’s the final stage of Chronic Kidney Disease, and requires dialysis or a kidney transplant in order to sustain life. He’s currently on a waiting list for a kidney. She takes him to dialysis now that she is home.

Mykal Riley came to Alabama from Panola Junior College. He signed at UAB but was released when Mike Anderson left. A bit different.

I had a close friend growing up. Big Auburn fan. Like most Auburn fans switched to Auburn back in the 80's during the winning streak. Always talked about Alabama. I guess he thought it made him a better fan if he trashed Alabama all the time. He would make up stuff and believe it himself. Would quote his own lies as gospel. All the other Auburn fans I knew couldn't stand him. They thought he made all Auburn fans look bad.

I'm telling you this because I have a question for you.
Is your first name Lane?

No comment on blocking the transfer of the girl who had already graduated from Bama from transferring home to take her DYING brother to dialysis?

I don't blame you. No defending that one
