The stripper came into the picture during his stint at TAMU. Banks is a Texas guy. Some Bama insiders were just recently on a pod talking about how in 2017 after Sumlin left he was looking for jobs outside of Texas specifically because his issues with his family had gotten so bad that he needed to leave the state. Apparently part of the motivation for returning to UT with Sark on what was otherwise a pretty lateral move was a desire to return to the state, since things with his family had cooled off since 2017.
