I think in ways he has and ways he hasn't.
He wanted the premier elite program in the country and hes got it.
Wanted the premier recruiting machine and has got it.
Wanted to win at an unprecedented pace and has done so.
Wanted to be the best of all time and he is.
Also think year to year he expects to win it all and does more than not.
As far as not meeting them, those are primarily his insane expectations of himself. His greatness is born in his never being completely satisfied.
I think at this point he sees every season as a different, unique challenge with his own expectations for the group. The legacy is set so now he's just padding it. Until the day comes where he no longer gets excited and driven by those year to year expectations, he's gonna be around. He doesn't seem close to burnt out to me. I think hes got 5 minimum left in him. Too bad for me as an LSU fan but what can you do.

Auburn is a good program. 5-1 in national titles since he started is fairly dominant. He’s also helped get two of their coaches canned as he tied the record for most championships.

Saban has dominated all of college football and not just Auburn. Bama got very lucky that we got him. What he’s done is unreal.

I don't know but a guy I work with is a Florida fan and me and him picks with each other. He's always saying that when Saban leaves he will be secretly pulling against us cause he wants to be the GOAT at Bama. And he will want all Tide coaches after him to fail so he looks even better. I know he's just trying to rub me but he says that Saban will pull for LSU to beat us every year.

I seriously doubt that cause he knows this won't happen again in his lifetime. 6 or more NCs by the same guy in next 30 years could only be Urban Meyer and he ain't coming to Bama. No one is going to do it again in a 10 or even 15 year period.

That is the difference between Auburn and Alabama. Auburn looks for domination from a head to head perspective. Alabama looks at domination from a National Title perspective. Look at SEC Titles, National Titles and tell me Auburn has not been dominated since Saban has been at Alabama.

Do you really think Auburn and Alabama are on equal footing? or anybody and Alabama for that matter?

Winning 4 out of 11 good for you?
This isn’t a baseball batting average.

We've experienced enough success to give Auburn credit where it is due. Miracles aside, there is more to it than that. Auburn had very good teams in 2010 and 2013 and was on a roll this past season. They played in 2 national championships.

If Nick Saban had not agreed to come to Tuscaloosa, Auburn fans would view this as their golden decade.

Auburn's got a .363 winning percentage against him at Alabama.

Nope. He for whatever reason has had a tough time beating Auburn even at LSU. Coach Saban has very little margin for error left when playing Auburn for the remainder of his career at Alabama. For comparison Coach Bryant only lost to Auburn 6 times in 25 years

The average margin of victory in those seven victories for Alabama has been 23 points. So yeah, I'd call that domination. One of those Auburn wins was in Saban's first year, the ones in 2010 and 2013 were herculean comebacks that might as well be classified as miracles, while the 2017 game was against a depleted and injured Alabama team in Jordan-Hare. Plus, had Tagovailoa been the QB in that game instead of Hurts, we might be looking at a different outcome.

Actually, it's right in line with Bryant

Sorry but this simply is not True. Coach Bryant was 9-2 against Auburn in his first 11 games. 7-4 is not very good when the topic is Domination. From 1959-1962 Auburn didn't even score a single point in the Iron Bowl. Coach Saban only has two shutouts.

Coach Bryant absolutely dominated Auburn. It is why Auburn is still scared of him to this very day.

In the 2000's, UA's worst decade of football since the 1950's, UA was 3-7 against AU. CNS won 2 of those 3. In spite of the ineptitude of a sanctioned riddled team with multiple HC changes, AU only managed a 17.9 to 17 pt avg scoring differential.

In the 2010's, UA is 5-3 vs AU with a 34.3 to 21.4 scoring differential. For perspective, that is a 12.9 pt avg scoring advantage for UA over that time period, while the 12 point AU victory in the 2017 Iron Bowl was Auburn's largest margin of victory since 1969.

Highlighted by domination in recruiting, head-to-head, championships and a couple 36+ point to nothing blowouts, yes, I'd say CNS has dominated AU with all other things in context.

Although, the focus in 2018 is not the focus in 2007 for CNS. He is no longer rallying the masses to turnaround a program that started with ending his program rivals' win streaks. The IB is still a significant rivalry. But, while it remains AU's superbowl, this year's IB loss for UA proved as significant as the back to back Ole Miss losses for UA.

Stolen from another poster but i think this speaks volumes of where Saban is.
Thanks for your daily interest in the Bama dynasty.

I consider the fact he has made the iron bowl irrelevant pretty much domination of Auburn.
