Hardwn is the system. You have him you have an all time elite offense. That’s what the last 3 seasons tells us. Volume shooter implies inefficiency.
Over 30 PER implies the opposite?

Win a title, show up in the playoffs when it matters then he can get that title. Until then, nope.
So many all time greats couldn’t get there. When you have to go through all time great teams, then you might come up short. Garnett was a loser until he got a stacked team. Nobody wins by themself. Anthony Davis hasn’t done shite... Greek Freek has done nothing... they all have to go through LeBron and Golden State to win. The argument people make in terms of championships is so dumb because they know that it takes talent, coaching, health, and luck. Anyway keep saying dumb stuff regardless. I’m sure you know more about basketball than your hate let’s you talk.

It’s Lebron. Whether you like it or not, it’s still Lebron. He elevates his game in the playoffs. NBA is about titles and consistency. Harden has been great, he is great. But his game lowers in the post season. So many times it was Harden himself losing a game with an awful turnover, or trying to get a bull shite foul instead of taking the shot and missing terribly or getting blocked and so on. If you want to say he has been the best this season, sure. That doesn’t make you the best. That’s ignoring the greatness of players like Bron and KD and then playing at an elite level for a decade+.
LeBron is the best. Harden isn’t a choker though. Playing Golden State is always going to be an uphill battle. Even if you’re great, they have three guys just as good as anyone. The Rockets should rest Harden more and he shouldn’t play hero ball when he’s exhausted. Westbrook has the same issue, they are gonna shoot even when their legs are gone. But Harden is a great player whether you decide to focus on his failures against teams that are just plain better in terms of talent. I think you know better and you just want to be a Harden hater because it’s a cool thing to do.

Nice post. Cancer is hard whether you have it or anyone you love has it. I’m pretty sure every letter he gets will be appreciated and make him a little be stronger.
Thank you for the post and I’ll send a letter as well.

I say stupid shite and have problems too. I’m glad other people do it too. I guess people have a lot in common. I know the world isn’t flat but I’m gonna probably get on the flat earth team just because people are really concerned about flat earthers. Barkley could tell people round doesn’t exist and his nickname has round in it... and people would take him seriously and tweet about it. Anyway thank god earth is flat.

I’ll watch if Dean Blandino is in the replay booth. Also Stephen A should be there. He’s loud and puts on a funny show but he actually knows sports. He’s gonna be loud and make money though because it’s apparently really profitable.

Going to bed but I hope somebody starts a thread to see if Amari Cooper or Ray Lewis murdered more people this week and why Gronk was so out of position at the end of the game. I’ll probably bring up Wu Tung Clan, A Aron Hernandez, and C Murder (since murder is in his name. Angela Lansbury will come up (if you don’t know why look up Murder She Wrote and Wikipedia and then binge watch the show). Either way if we can shut Dean Blandino up and stop reviewing stuff, Drew Brees could destroy everyone if he ever teamed up with JuJu. Also if anyone figures out how Wilder didn’t murder Tyson Fury with that punch, I really would like to know he got up before a 10 count.
Roll tide. Later.

Holy crap I missed the Drew Brees part. I know people say silly stuff on purpose but he went to Purdue and is lethal in the cold or any weather. The guy could throw 4 TDs to 4 different dead people and nobody would be surprised. Literally every time he’s under center, it’s a controlled environment because he doesn’t give a shite about weather because he’s going to throw a quick touchdown and warm up on the sideline between scores. Hopefully he puts up enough numbers to make the hall of fame. Or maybe he’ll give my old arse a break and make me huge money by throwing me a couple touchdowns. Anyway I’d prefer people don’t consider it a hot take, *spoiler alert*... Drew Brees is fricking incredible. Most hall of fame QBs are. Anyway we all knew it but I just thought it was funny that Purdue kicked the shite out of Ohio State this year without Drew Brees. I never thought about how bad it would have been if he was on the roster. Either way it was cold, he went there, and he’s good.
This message board is really cool and has the best message board format on the internet. I imagine Chicken put together a forum that people emulate quite a bit. Also he’d probably catch 15 TDs if Drew Brees was throwing to him. Thanks Chicken.

The Colts was ranked 23 in both total D and scoring D in 2006. But you, a genius football mind, think they were the best in the league.
Great defensive ends but they had to get a lead. They needed to let the defensive ends just worry about rushing the passer. Running the ball neutralized that. Obviously we all saw the games and know Peyton Manning was good and those defensive units weren’t the best in the league. I did think it was pretty cool of you to state the obvious since people somehow were confused. I agree with you take and I Hope most people do too.
By the way, that post really was funny. All he said is they had a great QB and statistically poor defenses. It’s gonna be even funnier when people argue that he’s wrong. I’m sure somehow people will question Lebrons heart and whether Jake Fromm is pretty damn good. And somehow Dean Blandino will never figure out that JuJu catching the ball with both feet in bounds is always and catch and shouldn’t be reviewed for 30 minutes. But just in case anyone wants another hot take... I didn’t expect that guy to be that good.
Anyway sorry to disagree with you but the Colts had the best D in the league. Only defense I’ve ever seen that’s better is OU this year. How they beat Kansas... I’ll never know.

Literally there is no take on the offense. Hand the ball off to the best running back in the league and they’ll be even better on offense. The bears defense is really good too. If you’re gonna play the Bears, then you should call plays better. The coach said he called a bad game. He’s smart and he’ll probably keep getting better when he has a bad game. Deion, LT, and Shannon kept laughing because it’s hard to call plays or remember who’s on the roster when it’s really cold. They’ll probably fix it. Either way I’d like to congratulate them both for beating Georgia last night because Jake Fromm is really good. Thank goodness he doesn’t have Gurley on his team. Regardless, sorry Cowherd stole your take or possibly has the same take. Go Astros.
re: Will we see the NBA rig it for my Rockets tomorrow?
Posted by arwicklu on 5/27/18 at 11:09 pm
I think the Golden State would sweep and the Rockets would have a tougher time depending on Chris Paul. So there’s probably more games in the finals if the Rockets win.
If I were Chris Paul I’d get shot up with Cortisone or whatever it takes because they probably only need him for a game to win a Championship. If he rips it, then he’s got six months to heal it.
Rockets are pretty big internationally (mostly China) due to Yao. I don’t know if really matters for global market who wins. I’m guessing it’ll be pretty even officiating and whoever catches fire from 3 wins. I’m hoping Harden doesn’t start settling for constant step back threes.
I do think the Rockets could have maybe won without Paul if Luc was healthy. He looks bad after that shoulder injury. It’ll be an interesting game.

C - Capela $1
PF - Lebron $6
SF - Otto Porter $1
SG - Klay Thompson $3
PG - CP3 $4
It would be easy to take Lebron and Durant and surround with guys like Capela, Porter, PJ Tucker, Avery Bradley, etc. Anyone that plays D and can shoot 3s. I think CP3 plus Klay is better than Durant and a 1 dollar guy but I could go either way on that choice.
I also thought about Lebron at C but he’d complain and there wouldn’t be a real rim protector.

I loved to hate on the guy because he’s such an attention whore, but then he does things like that and I’m like frick, this dude is a saint.
I’ve got family at that school and I don’t live far from there. We were very lucky today. There is some psychological damage but nothing like what the parents will go through.
JJ obviously doesn’t hate attention, however I think the ends justify the means. He stepped up and made a lot of grieving people feel a little love. It won’t help them deal with their pain enough to stop them from suffering but every bit helps when things seem this dark.
I don’t want to judge his intentions. I’d rather admire him for being someone in the one percent who spends his money to make a difference. The world would be a much better place if there were more wealthy people that spent their fortune doing good.
It hasn’t been a great day for my friends and family near here. Having someone step up and show support does make a difference in my opinion. So whether it is true or not, his actions make me believe that he is a good person.
Beyond that most of us can’t afford to do what he did. People act like assholes on here and talk a lot of shite for fun and rivalries. When you read comments from people about this from people on here, I believe that there are a lot of people on here that are sending prayers and would do the same thing if they had the ability. So my opinion is that JJ Watt and everyone that took time to post their feelings are equally virtuous and important.
Anyway sorry for being too serious but there are a lot of sad people here that need to feel love right now. My thanks isn’t important, however I just wanted to mention that the positive energy makes a difference.

Utah is a good team. The Rockets won’t shoot that poorly from 3 again but Gobert does so well in the middle it cuts out the easy buckets. They’re a fun team to watch.

I don’t know him or hate him. Swiping at fans isn’t classy and he hasn’t had any success without Durant. He’s still rich and has a great life. He just isn’t going to lead a team to a championship as a ball dominant player. I think most people feel the same way.

They’ll just be mediocre until Russ goes. You can’t trade him because he’s a star but you won’t win with him. You just put as much defense around him as possible and let him do whatever he wants.
