think we put the LSU band in the upper deck last year and a braying donkey by the sideline. That is the only way I can explain hearing the same two tones again and again in overtime.

That’s fair.

State has chosen to put their band in the upper deck at BDS before

State put their band up on the far left side of the south deck once about 10 years ago in what is now part of the student section.

It was probably the LSU AD that put the band in the upper deck so his paying customers could have the good seats. The favor you need to return may be to him.

The visitor’s locker room in 2020 needs to be Mike’s alternate cage for the day...

Nope. Texas doesn’t give any visiting team any seats in the lower bowl. Every team that brings a band is relegated to that section where you saw the LSU band. Would not be tolerated in the SEC, where the home team is required to provide the visitors 1500 seats in the lower bowl.

Apparently all of the seats allocated to LSU were in the upper deck, so not really sure how you arrived at the conclusion that the good seats were for paying LSU customers. The paying customers were In the upper deck too, as I understand it. The only LSU fans in the lower seats were those who acquired tickets in the secondary market or who bought Texas season tickets to get a ticket for the LSU v. Texas game.

That must be new. I remember being in the south end zone when I was a BQ in Austin.

Seems like Miss State’s band sat in the upper deck last time at BDS. That’s their choice though.

Our south endzone is destroyed. Two year renovation to enclose the whole stadium. I don't know that I am a fan as early in the year we usually have a south to south west wing blowing. It is the only thing to keep the air moving.

That place is going to be hotter than hell and it already was, one reason I stopped going to games.

Yep, I remember people bitching about it, but don't remember who it was. Pretty sure it wasn't a usual suspect like Bama.

LSU should scatter the Texas band in groups of four all over the stadium.

I don't think SEC teams determine were the visiting band sits. They are just required to give a certain amount of tickets in the lowest section. It's up to the visiting team on where they want to put the band.

Wife and I were at the Auburn game in Starkville and the band had to sit in the upper deck.

I called Auburn when we got home and requested payback the next season. Did not happe.

We all know damn well that's some SEC shite. We do it to each other but we are pissed when another team does it to our conference brothers.

I thought it was cheap low class move by Texas. I will always pull for TAMU dominance over them from here on out. We all know LSU will pay their ads back badly. I bet Texas backs out of the return game

Same here. I saw the band members having to walk up the ramp and it was an extremely hot night.
