I would put South Carolina beaches against anything the gulf side has to offer. Go to Folly, Kiawah, Seabrook, Edisto, Mitchellville, or any beaches on the south end of the island here in Hilton Head.
i'm with this guy but like i said that's just how i was raised

Where the frick are you people going to see all this white trash on the Atlantic side? Daytona?
You are the one that brought the elitist attitude to the board and trashing the Gulf Coast. Don't get upset when someone points out the undesirable traits of East Coast beaches.

Offended by asking a question? Sorry GT. It takes way more than that. As I said, I think you are taking this way too seriously.
I was honestly asking where folks are seeing this white trash outside of the Daytona area. I know where I see them but no one here would be aware of that location.

The Destin/Sandestin/30-A area of Florida is as nice as anything the Atlantic side has to offer.
Heading to Santa Rosa Beach the 2nd week of June.

Galveston is the best damn beach 45 minutes from Houston.
Besides, we know how to throw a good party.
Lone Star Biker Rally
Mardi Gras Galveston

You're going to the wrong beaches on HHI apparently. One of the reasons it is nice is because they don't let shitty tourists like you frick it up. I can take my dog out in the ocean kayak and leave all my stuff on the beach and it's still undisturbed when I get back. But yeah it's a shitty place. I really miss drunk rednecks on the beach. Not too mention we have 7.5 foot tides so the beaches are extremely wide.
I'm a redneck because I like to drink beer on the beach?? I'm pretty sure 99% of this board and people of the drinking age like to drink beer on the beach.
I'd take Saint Simons and Sea Island over HHI all day every day.

Atlantic > Gulf
Too many rednecks drinking cheap beer on almost all parts of the Gulf until the bend south.
Great. By all means, please keep your Yankee arse on the Atlantic side.

Recently moved to Newport Beach, not a whole lot of SEC representation unfortunately but I see a disproportionate amount of Florida gear here. By that I mean maybe once a week, not a ton, but surprising since its one of the furthest SEC schools from here. I've run into a few other Ags, and seen a LSU or Bama bumper sticker a handfull of times.
Tons of Big 10'ers in the bars during March Madness, I saw more IU/Michigan State, etc shirts than I did Pac 12.
As far as the actual beaches, the water off of Florida's best Gulf beaches, like Destin, is unmatched...but adding mountains and better weather to the equation evens things out.

Sand, waves, bars and SEC representation have been covered but not one mention of "scenery" has been brought up...yet. And yes, I do know CA and Miami area beaches have the best/most talent easily. But PCB/30a/Destin/Pensacola has some very hot women, much less snobby than most places and just as fun to look at.
Woke up to 40* this morning at the beach, has warmed up 75* and beautiful here for those of you wondering.

Sullivan's Island SC has one of the best beaches I've ever been to, probably better than the Gulf Coast, but yes, all other Atlantic beaches suck.
