Spring Break at PCB to this day is the best you'll ever find
No fricking way. When I was 18-21 I did spring break at PCB every year for 10-14 days.
The guy to girl ratio was about 8 to 1. Worst ratio on any beach in the U.S. And LeVela or Spinnakers was where the only hot girls congregated.
Try Ft Lauderdale beach on any holiday during the year and it blows away PCB.
Also, more hot women on a weekend on Ft Lauderdale Beach than South Beach these days. SOBE has a lot of trash on it these days. Lots of groups of guys wearing shite (clothes) with dreads and tats wondering around gawking and whistling at women non-fricking stop. Some of them even stink like they haven't showered. I think a lot of vagrants etc pile into a car and come over to SOBE on Saturdays now to harrass women and it sucks because the quality of hot women on south beach is about in the shitter now. Probably about 5% as many as used to walk SOBE during the day about 8-10 years ago. Pisses me off.
Totally changes at night though when you actually have to have money to get into the clubs and all the groups of 10 broke jimmy dick dudes have left. SOBE clubs tons of hot women. Ft Lauderdale clubs, hardly any.
As for the beaches themselves, the gulf coast beaches of Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Destin are better than any Atlantic beaches anywhere.

St. Augustine Beach is the most gawd awful redneck beach I've ever been to.

The Gulf Shores/Orange Beach/Pensacola Beach area was devastated by the oil spill and the tourists staying away and the tacky way Mrytle Beach went after prospective tourists in the area and took advantage of the Gulf Coast's misfortune was bush league imho.

no self-respecting Sandlapper would actually claim the city of MB as part of South Carolina. the past 30 years it has become transplants from Ohio - Pennsylvania and the Northeast. the state line is the Georgetown County line due south and the Intercoastal to the west.
it sucks because there are many great native Sandlappers in Horry County - but the carpetbaggers have taken over MB city.
we have about 3 undisturbed frontiers left on our beautiful coast. none have been mentioned in this thread and I hope it remains that way. also - our state parks are horrendous. there's no need to visit any of them.

Well, in 2010 it was outstanding, and the ratio was more than acceptable. Can't speak for anything after that!

"When I was a kid we'd wait for hours to see The Snake stumble out of The Pink Pony Pub... "
You and I must be close in age. One spring break years ago, the snake and his band of raider misfits at Gulf Shores, just scared the livin hell out of us high school bad arse'es.
I thought they were going to kill us. They were just messing with us.

You young bucks from texas don't know the greatness that was south padre...
Back in the day, you could party in padre during the day and then go to mexico and get in to big trouble..
Then mexico turned to shite =(
the end.

Seagrove Beach/Alys Beach/Rosemary Beach on the Gulf. Not many rednecks in that area. They stick to Destin and PCB.
