They are both awful. The only difference is after 160 miles, I-16 mercifully ends.

On 16, you're staring at the same pine tree for 2 hours. On 10, you're staring at the same pine tree for 6 hours.

I’m hearing Sammy Hagar will be doing their stadium intro for the 2026 season. Anybody else heard that?

Faux outrage is when you pretend to be outraged.

I didn't do that. I laughed.

And yet these tell a different story. OMG! Georgia had another speeder!

quote:

Guess which SEC school's alum just got busted doing 135mph

quote:

Yes this is a safe space to discuss any school with an epidemic of a specific crime, sure. Not sure anyone can compete with Georgia and going 100+ though.

quote:

Well I guess it was 5 days ago but I guess the news doesn't go as fast as the players in Georgia.

Are you seriously saying you didn't bring this to the board in hopes of sparking some backlash against Georgia? Riiiiiiight.

It's like when Georgia posters were posting the "As the Swamp Burns" thread. They could all claim it was just good natured fun and laughing, but we all know it was intended to bring attention and act shocked at what was happening o a rival, while encouraging others to pile on.

But, fair enough. I guess Georgia fans can start threads about your 2008 team and their troubles...or bump up the "As the Swamp Burns" thread and just have some good natured laughing.

You do understand that laughing at and ridiculing would be considered backlash, right?

You know, we have had our share of problems. I get it. But lets not pretend Florida has not had its share of problems, too. And all of the problems were not rooted in that 2008 team.

BREAKING: Gators Freshman Arrested on Felony Dating Violence Charge

I mean, we can talk about ongoing problems with players but while you wring your hands over speeders (Granted a lot of them) you have had players raping, assaulting and murdering people. And lets not forget the start player that that choked a coach at practice and nothing happened to him. (Percy Harvin)
Percy Harvin was reportedly at the forefront of Meyer’s inner circle. Several sources told the Sporting News that the former Gators offensive weapon once grabbed receivers coach Billy Gonzales by the neck and threw him to the ground. He reportedly had to be pulled off of Gonzales by two assistant coaches but was never disciplined.
Florida History

So, go ahead and laugh at our speeders. We deserve it, but just know while you are laughing at our speeders and reminding people of our past history of speeding, we will be here to remind you of the murders, sexual assaults, and assaults on your own coaches your players have done.

Generally, no. Mockery is not inherently "backlash"

Just having fun, maybe relax a bit and spare us the novella response.

Hell, I drove it end to end in less than 90 minutes when I was in college. That averages about 115 mph for the drive.

Sounds like bullshite. What car were you pushing 115 in the entire way?

What yr was this?

back·lash
['bakla?]
backlash (noun)
backlashes (plural noun)

a strong negative reaction by a large number of people, especially to a social or political development:

So, mockery is not a strong negative reaction? Dude.

And that's all I am doing when I point out Florida's failures with the law. You have fun laughing at Georgia's speeders and we will have fun laughing at the murderers, sexual assaults and assaults of Florida's athletes.
It's all fun, right?

I don't believe I have ever started a thread about Florida's failures or started one trying to illicit laughter at your University. I guess you are one up on me. That said, if someone from another fan base wants to make fun of Georgia have at it, but don't cry if I point out your hypocrisy, either.
