You make a fair point. But let’s also be honest in that the Penn State stuff was a smokescreen for disappointment at the hire.
Could there be Schiano jokes? At first, definitely. But I think it would have died down quickly. Schiano got merely mentioned as being aware of the issue from a second or third hand source. Jimbo Fisher has legal documentation of him being a cuckold, and that barely gets mentioned these days.

You guys act like 11-2 at Rutgers in the big east 15 years ago is proof that he's a god when we have literally MOUNTAINS of evidence that will tell you that success in that league is fool's gold. Pretty much every failed "home run hire" of the last decade has come from the Big East/American, with only one or two successes.
