Show us on the bear where the bad McElroy touched you…

He has a radio show that airs on a local station, so he is still heard around Alabama. He comes off as an arse but that’s because he’s usually the smartest guy in the room.
I do remember Auburn fans laughing at Bama and Shula for taking this low star QB from Texas.

McElroy isn't even liked by most Bama fans. He tries to distance himself from the program. He was a really SUCKY QB. Bama won in spite of his lack of talent. Not a big fan of him.

I always thought he should have gone as a pro football analyst. He has the smarts to be a good one.
Not my favorite college personality.

I think Greg does a really good job.

Is that official or just your imagination? Which was a really cool song in its day.

How many people were daily reminded by Todd Blackledge that he was an All-American QB at Penn State during his many broadcasts? Most people were clueless. As they should have been.

Yep until Saban was forced to modernize the offense it was just pound the other team and usually wide open play action passes here and there.

Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, and Derrick Henry helped a little.

And it worked. Stacked on top of smothering defenses, it was THE recipe for success. Worked really well for LSU for a long time until the game evolved and we didn’t.

Eli Gold owns 50 condos in NC and Florida does espn provide that. I was told he makes millions a year off just rent. He did this off networking with boosters. Eli makes more every 2 weeks than McElroy does a year.
70yo having a better real estate portfolio than a millennial is not exactly ground breaking evidence lol

McElroy used to do many speaking engagements he lost out on that because locally nobody likes him.

I think I like McElroy more because of this thread...

Haha. CTSN maybe has the budget of small town radio station. Guarantee you McElroy has a better job at ESPN.

Eli Gold went from a bottom middle class guy to owning no telling the 10 of millions dollars worth of property in Florida and North Carolina plus other investments.
Is that why Gold, as a 70-something, now has to settle for calling Jax State and Arena football games? Gold also has a bunch of failed businesses.

It never stopped working. Playing scary defense and tearing the heart out of opponents with a brutal running game never broke LSU. BAMA did. Ironically, BAMA did it playing exactly like a Les Miles team. Great defense and "making their azz quit."
In 2015 undefeated LSU came to BDS with Heisman favorite Fournette averaging over 192 yards a game. The Playoff Committee was already voting them in the 4 team poll. So it was very late in the season. They lost a tough and brutal game to a great BAMA team that had Derrick Henry. Who went on to win another NC.
It once again broke the season and team morale for LSU. By the way, BAMA has been on the other end and we got our azz kicked a couple of times by inferior teams because we couldn't motivate guys knowing the season was over for the Playoffs. That's all that happened to LSU after the BAMA game.
In 2016 Les Miles was gone. It never stopped working.
Do you realize that if Georgia was in the West they would not have a victory against BAMA either? Because they got there going around BAMA they weren't frustrated like LSU.

Do you listen to his radio show?
No. ESPN radio is just as bad as their morning shows. When half their radio hosts became women, i stopped tuning in.

Greg is a goober but he’s better than the vast majority of mainstream college football heads. He is light years ahead of pawl klatt and danny. You sound like you’re describing Stewart mandel
