You're assuming I'm rustled because I've commented in some threads today in such a way that it doesn't suck Mizzou's arse.

If you're settling for Crean, then there's really not much for anybody to be scared about in this conference. As I said before, that man owes at least half of his checks at IU to Dwyane Wade. And he's definitely not at the height of his career at this point.

To y'all actually carrying your weight in basketball like was intended? Well it's about time. But lets not act like you're anything to be feared anymore than Florida with White, State with Howland, Tennessee with Barnes, Martin with South Carolina, Alabama with Johnson, etc.

It's hilarious that you think Kentucky would be afraid of competition with what we play in the OOC every year to make up for the shitty SoS in this conference the last few years. But you're totally not a troll.

Well it's equally as silly as you claiming Mizzou isn't anything other than anot average SEC job. Guess you're a troll as well.

I can't think of any other reason you've worked yourself into a tizzy about this.

Please expand on why you are so upset then

Considering how quickly Belle likes to jump to the "you're obsessed with UK" defense I'm fairly surprised that she's so unprepared when used on her

Well, lets take a look at that. I'd say just off the top of my head that Kentucky, Florida, and Arkansas are all top tier conference jobs. All three have won National Championships and have had good to great success in college basketball.

LSU has been to 4 Final Fours, 6 Elite Eights and will likely also be looking for a coach in this off-season. I'd put them above Mizzou as well. So I'd say you're right about high-mid average.

And that's not even taking into consideration the shitshow that you've dealt with in your basketball program since Anderson left.

You're assuming I'm "upset" because I've not just backed down from the comments here.

I know you Mizzou baws are all used to your women rioting and protesting up there in Columbia, but upset is probably a strong word when just throwing some posts out there on a message board.

Jesus Belle.

You have posted more today about Mizzou than I have about UK in 6 years ranting.

But hey, if you can't handle pointing out that Gregg Marshall has turned down multiple jobs to stay Wichita State with some much bigger openings then Mizzou on the immediate horizon I'm not really sure what to tell you.

Marshall wasn't leaving for any school in the past because he was clear he wanted to wait until his kids were done with school. He will likely leave now but for a school like Indiana IMO. We have some solid choices available we just can't F it up. I've never seen Bball interest as low as it has been the last couple of years.

I don't think Gregg is going anywhere this year. Next year, they will be stacked as they only lose 2 walk-ons to graduation this year. They drubbed everyone in conference this year when everyone is pointing to next year as "the year".

Same story, different year. Gregg talks like this and it seems as if he's holding WSU hostage. I think that this will work out the same way as it has before. Marshall will sign another extension with a nice raise and they'll wreck the MVC again next year. Some stories will come out in the local media that Charles Koch sweetened the pot for him to stay at the last minute. The local media will lap it all up because the baseball team will likely suck again and there really isn't anything else to talk about out here until November.

FWIW... I wouldn't mind seeing Gregg go to Mizzou. I'd like to see the SEC stronger as a whole in basketball.

I'm confused as to why the lower tier sec teams think that hiring head coaches who failed at much better programs is going to elevate their programs above the programs that fired them.

Howland, pearl, Barnes, Crean, Stans, etc all this does is make the sec seem like a conference for retreads and rehabilitating careers.

To be fair, are we considering Pearl as a failure at Tennessee? I thought he was doing well until the NCAA troubles.

Howland and Pearl did not fail. They were excellent hires, especially considering who made them.

You'll have to show me how Crean failed. He took over a Indiana team with ONE scholarship player. He's won the Big 10 twice and made 3 sweet 16s. Only Howland and Cal have a better resume in the SEC.

He's had a couple meh years, but that happens. This year he lost two of his top players to injury. It happens.

Crean is an excellent coach, and a very good recruiter.

It's a failure when you only manage three Sweet 16s in 9 seasons at a program that has 5 National Championships and is considered the best basketball program in the Big 10.

5 of his 9 seasons he didn't even make the NCAA Tournament. At Indiana.
