I'm surprised Walker hasn't been mentioned more. The man is a legend.

From your answer it brings up the question of, do you even know what you asked?

Luv me some Shaq, but with a 50% free throw mark, how long do you actually think Shaq would have played if he was 6’5in instead of 7’0?

Best athlete hands down in the SEC and it ain’t even close is Bo Jackson!

Bo is the only correct answer.

Absolutely. And he still wasn't the athlete Bo was.

I'm gonna go with Sarah Fuller, two sport star at Vanderbilt.

She led Vandy to a conference title in women's soccer (considered by most to be the toughest sport going) and no one will ever forget her magical 30 yard kick off.

Then, as if that kickoff weren't enough, she also kicked an extra point against Tennessee, a feat that may only be matched by every kicker in America.

She's like the Jackie Robinson of football, only he had it easy compared to her.

Bo could play more sports than Shaq but Shaq was more dominant in his sport.

Bo. There have been a lot of great ones but Bo stands out. Kenny Stabler was also a pretty good baseball player and I've heard a few people say you could pick any sport or game and Stabler would beat you at it but those were different times.

I think the OP needs to provide some metrics.

FTR, Herschel has a faster 100m time than Bo. Also did some MMA stuff I think.

Is Bo considered the better athlete because he was a 2 sport star? Who was better at football only?

Bo wears Wade Christopher pajamas.

It is either Wade or Chris Capps.

Best pure all round athlete… Billy Cannon. In 1950s he coud run 9.4 in 100 yd (probably 10.1-2 in 100m) throw shot 50 ft. I believe he could have won Olympic decathlon 1960 if he trained.

I saw him run at SEC champ meet in Gainesville about 1956/7 when I was 12. A man beating boys.

Bo gets a lot of rightful accolades because he excelled at football and baseball (not an easy sport to excel in).

Football only - SEC football fans have been debating this coming up on 4 decades. No end in site either.
