Tennessee was the best or second best SEC program of the 90's. They had tons of 5* talent even though recruiting didn't really exist back then.

Tennessee's best recruiting classes of the 90's came in after Manning's commitment/signing. '94 through '97 were amazing classes...prior to that they were hit or miss.

Just watch Rex put up almost 500 at Tiger Stadium. He makes every throw you can make as a QB, and makes it perfectly.

Mahomes was a monster in 2016

Tech had 7 losses that year, and in 3 of them they had scored 44 points or more.

I went with my buddy to the Texas Bowl in 2015 and, while it was a pretty merciless smackdown, LSU fans were extremely complimentary after the game and the next day about Mahomes and the plays he made in that game.

The name you are looking for is Peyton Manning I believe.

Chase Daniel has to be on the list too

Watson is light years a better QB than Tua

In a tougher conference Tua had:

•A career QB rating 40 points higher
•Only 3 less career touchdown passes on 400 fewer attempts
•An 8 to 1 TD:INT ratio to Watson’s 3 to 1
•The same number of National Championship wins and appearances
•A career YPA that was 2.5 yards higher than Watson
•A higher completion percentage
