Great "Folk Heroes" of the SEC

Guys whose lore follows them above and beyond their athletic achievements.
Bo Jackson - His hand/eye coordination was legendary. When I was at AU I heard tale of him making a bet with teammates that he could he had a squirrel in a tree using a wrist rocket from the athletic dorm balcony. And he did it!
Herschel Walker - Back in the 80s I read, or heard of him rescuing a woman from a wrecked burning car. Superhuman strength, he ripped the door off of the car to pull her out to safety.
Bear Bryant - Always heard when I was a kid that he got his name by wrestling a bear and Arkansas. Pretty cool story.
Jackie Sherrill - Heard about but never verified the story where he cut the nuts off of a cow before practice one time to get his team motivated.

I can verify the Herschel story. It happened on the corner of Lumpkin and East Campus Roads.

This happened at a pep rally before we played Texas in one of his first years as head coach. It's true and there are a ton of witnesses out there.
