Really? What makes you say that? I really don't expect LSU to win that game. I didn't expect them to beat Florida either but I think Ole Miss is a much better team than Florida.

But the heck with it....I am going. Lots of driving for an old guy. Going to be fun for sure.

Yes, and sick burn. At least I can be honest about it.

This is what’s been bothering me a lot lately, but here’s the counter argument: all of the ones at ND were against Bama, Clemson, and Ohio State. The most consistently talented teams of the past decade.
I’m still not sure if he’s going to be elite here, but if you were going to list programs (not individual teams like 2019 LSU and 2021 UGA) you wouldn’t want to face in the postseason, those are the 3. They’ve only lost to each other and LSU/UGA.

Auburn had 1 more first down and top was even.
Auburn also didnt score a single pt in 2nd half. But they were the better team?

But THAT POSTER doesn't want to talk about his own coaches current accomplishments.

Both these games aren't out the realm of possibilities of winning. Ole Miss really has played a weak schedule and Alabama has been vulnerable at times for sure.

They beat a terrible Florida team on the back of an atrocious call that allowed them to preserve the win.
I guess you mean the crown of the Florida guy's helmet being buried in our QB's chin? Yeah, cuz that's never targeting or roughing the passer.
Tard.

Seems to be doing a great job considering it's his first year and doing a complete rebuild. LSU looks to be in a great position right now. And they'll get better too.

Yes, when one team outgains the other by 200 yards that's typically the case. When that team is also coached by Bryan Harsin he can, and did, still find a way to blow it.

That’s not an accomplishment for a program like LSU and 100 mil HC.
Says the fan of a team that hasn't had a decent run since Nutt left. If it weren't for the portal you'd be stuck gloating about getting the top player from Pulaski Academy's JV team every year. How many SEC and NC crowns have the hogs won in the last 3-4 decades? How many coaches have you burned through chasing those dreams?
The majority of LSU fans knew that this was a rebuilding year, and frankly expected 6-7 wins (given the bare cupboard the Ogre left us). You don't give a 10 year contract to a coach when you expect immediate results (unless you're 8&4).
Anything better than 7 wins this year would be a huge success for our program. And given who our coach is and our recruiting prowess I expect that Kelly will have a full arsonal of players to work with in a few years. If he's not challenging for the SECW and SECCG by year 3-4, then yeah, his seat will turn into a blow torch.
But, for now? At the moment we're still in the hunt for the SECW. Probably won't happen, but at least we're still in the picture (for now). How bout dem hogs, though?
We're good, thanks.

Another counter argument and the most powerful is look at Notre Dame before BK. They had several coaches colossally fail. We’re talking 30 years or so of being bad. He was a consistent winner for a long time. Much smaller sample size but also look at them post BK, they are back to struggling. Maybe winning these days at ND isn’t as easy as people assume and it took a really good coach to make them relevant.

I'll bite - Your image shows through 2009.
Kelly coached in 4 NY6 games and one BCSNCG
Here is TAMU
2009 Independence Bowl Georgia L 20–44
2010 Cotton Bowl Classic LSU L 24–41
2011 Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas Northwestern W 33–22
2012 Cotton Bowl Classic Oklahoma W 41–13
2013 Chick-fil-A Bowl Duke W 52–48
2014 Liberty Bowl West Virginia W 45–37
2015 Music City Bowl Louisville L 21–27
2016 Texas Bowl Kansas State L 28–33
2017 Belk Bowl Wake Forest L 52–55
2018 Gator Bowl NC State W 52–13
2019 Texas Bowl Oklahoma State W 24–21
2020 Orange Bowl North Carolina W 41–27
2021 Forfeit (idk, covid or something)
So Tamu Played in ONE NY6 bowl (Cotton Bowl / Peach (CFA) was not a BCS bowl game and was not a NY6 until 2014) and went 7-5
You also went through 3 coaches, none of which won their division much less their conference in that time frame. Whoof.
Kelly at ND 92-40 (12 vacated in 12, 9 in 13)
Sherman at TAMu 25-25
Sumlin at TAMu 51-26
Fisher at TAMu 37-17
By the way, that 2009 Orange Bowl? That was as the HC of Cincinnati. He also led them to the 2010 Sugar Bowl.
