I think he has a lot of great athletes at Houston and he's well paid. He probably knows LSU players are talent overrated. Who wants the unreasonable expectations.

My opinion would be that you need to wake up because there's not a chance y'all land Herman

Same thing happened with Charlie Strong. Louisville was a giant among boys revenuewise before its ACC move, and with those resource skills he built a machine that crushed the schedule. Then he goes to Texas and finds out the money gap between the elite and the average isn't huge in 2016, it's more about marginal gains and not crushing people like ants like he did before. With almost the exact same staff he had at UL Charlie feel on his face coming out the gate.

Houston is that program today with big money being pumped into it as they are making a Big 12 run for vanity reasons. Herman is at the right place at the right time, and who knows how it will translate even if LSU gets him.

If LSU hire do an Urban Meyer type hire of a guy with a national title I would be terrified. But Herman is still a risk.

If we post that it is unlikely, are we "scared"?

Herman and Jimbo at LSU are pipe dreams of
1. LSU fans
2. (In the case of Jimbo) Some UF fans who want Jimbo to leave FSU
3. LSU fans who are posing as Miami Hurricane fans, such as Geaux BT

Both "true" pocket passers. Would be perfect for Herman.

Have you watched his current offense?

How many threads on Herman can there be?!

That question will be answered on the day he goes somewhere that isn't LSU.

You'll have Houston Nutt and like it.

A legacy can't be built at Houston.
He lands at LSU or USC.

Why do so many people think Helton will be fired from USCw after 1 year?

It's not that he doesn't suck but nobody gets fired after 1 year.

I'd say Herman is not a sure thing, but I think he has the best potential to take LSU to the level they want to be. He could be Charlie Strong, but he could also be Urban Meyer. If I'm an LSU fan, and Herman is the hire, I'm happy.

well lets say HOU gets the Big 12. I think he stays. Unless he wants the $. He may not win as much in Big 12.

He would have a good thing in LSU though. And get paid.. a lot..

Yes, because you would be avoiding the question.

The assumption is that LSU DOES hire Herman, go from there.

It would be a good hire and the return would be quicker then say a UT program. LSU is not that far removed from being a contender and has the talent still unlike UT who just held on to Phil way to long. He would at least recruit just as well if not better as Miles with deeper connections with TX HS currently.

I just do not see him leaving Houston.

especially without a talented QB already on campus and LSU fans aren't exactly known for their patience.

Harris and Etling will both be Sr's next year...the guy made a WR into a possible Heisman contender. I think he would do just fine with who we have in fold so far.
