I think we go 9-3 (miss the playoffs) but scrape out a 10th win in the bowl game. Basically the same as last year. Would be a program record for consecutive 10-win seasons.

I think Kentucky will be improved over last year, but the schedule is brutal.
Have to win all the expected winnable games, then steal at least one more. Ole Miss at home week 2 might be very pivotal to how the season unfolds.

It’s crazy how much the opinion on Stoops changed in 2-3 years.

Last year was beyond awful. The season before was bad.

I'm cautiously optimistic for change this year. Seems the culture has changed from last year to this. Schedule is brutal, but he has to win at least 6 or he will have to go.

9-3, possibly 10-2 if the OL surprises us all and ends up above average. I don’t think teams are going to score much on OU this year.

Hard to say with 30-40 new guys. But with our schedule I do not see how we get 5 wins. When you get throttled at home by Toledo, it’s going to be awhile before I could be optimistic about our football team. I believe there were individual players that had more sacks than our entire defense combined last season.
I’m more looking forward to seeing our soccer girls start a new season.

I feel like 8-4 is within reach, if the offense is as improved as we’re hearing. The schedule is just brutal though. If we can beat Michigan in week 2, I’ll feel good about 8-4.

Ceiling: 12-0

Floor: 9-3

The the over/under should be set in the middle at 10.5 and I'd probably bet under if I weren't biased.

For UF, I think Napier is a little snakebit like Muschamp was. I think our ceiling is 8 wins, and we are gonna probably end up with 6 or 7. I just don't see everyone staying healthy and don't believe in Napier as a gameday coach. I hope I am wrong and going to root my arse off for them until they do something embarrassing. I think Billy has really raised the talent level, and the players are bought in, but I just don't think he has the chops to be a successful head coach in the SEC. I still think 7-5.

Lagway needs to stay healthy, our best WR is already hurt, and I am not sure which defense will show up.

Mizzou will end up being ranked higher than LSU at the end of the season. That is the goal for Mizzou. This is how I measure success for Mizzou.

8-4 a disaster? Really?

Oh, I forgot who was posting.

Yes, 8-4 with this schedule, defense, and running game would mean that the QB position was an utter failure. Given what Heupel has done before and quality of the roster, any reasonable person would agree 8-4 would be an epic failure.

I get that since I posted it you feel the need to show your ignorance, but damn.

Even on Volnation, as there are many others like you over there, there are still many that see 8-4 as a slight disappointment considering the QB situation and losing your best player on defense among others.

What I've always wondered is how guys like you keep the hope alive. It would just seem having your overblown expectations crushed year after year at some point would either cause you to look at things without the hopium or to simply quit due to too much heartbreak.

I would bet the under also. I'm very, very pessimistic regarding Bobo. The offense fell off a cliff last year, especially in running the ball and catching the ball. One could make the argument it's the players, but ultimately the OC is responsible no matter how you dice it. The fall off from Monken was worse than I ever foresaw. This coming from a once loyal Bobo apologist.

8-4 would be a disaster 10-2 would be a mild surprise. 9-3 is the most probable outcome with the defense and running game doing the heavy lifting.

What record results in fans throwing trash on Heupel’s lawn?

I get all fired up reading how this guy or that guy is “flashing” in camp and i read all the preseason hype about how we’ve improved in this area and that, so I’m a sucker for thinking that this is the year we win 10 games and compete for the playoffs.

But alas, it’s probably more like 7 or 8 wins,
…which would be an improvement over last year so I’m good with it. If we go 6-6 again with this kind of talent, I don’t see Freeze surviving.

Come on Kdawg, this isn't a thread for debate. I ask about YOUR team.

I would be surprised if OU went 8-4. I’m sure the offense will be much more improved compared to last year, but we are talking about a PAC offense playing in the SEC. I have no idea how that will turn out. I am confident our defense will remain competitive, though.

10-2 LSU
More realistic however 9-3

Don't have high hopes with pretty much a whole new OL. Hopefully our defense picks up though and carries us out of the bottom dweller of the SEC.
