Gamecock baseball is the one sport we've had at USC that fans actually hold to the standard and pedigree established in 1971 by Bobby Richardson - and don't blindly show up to the ballpark like we do Williams-Brice for football -

go compare Holbrook's SEC and overall record after 5 seasons when he was removed from the job - to Kingston - and you'll understand why Gamecock fans didn't want MK to get a year 6 ... or now 7 - in a job that's above his abilities -

Founders will be empty all season - and while the talent is Top 25 on this ball club - the head coach is not -

a year ago today - April 6 2023 - Carolina was 28-3 / 9-1 on the season ranked inside the Top 5 - and finished the regular season 14-17 / 7-12 -

the real collapse came after sweeping #3 Florida at Founders to move to 34-6 / 13-4 - before ending the year 8-15 / 3-9 -

Kingston had his chance last year to be a Top 8 seed heading into the last weekend in April and host throughout to get to Omaha - but instead fell flat in May and ultimately went 0-2 in Gainesville Super to miss Omaha -

fan base is done - has been done - won't be coming back until someone else is brought in to get baseball playing back up to a 50+ year standard that every coach but Mark Kingston - since Bobby Richardson - was able to achieve -

With football, we don't know any better. We show up, even though we suck, because we always have.

But baseball, the fans are showing Tanner that he *has* to make a change. Kingston has utterly sucked the life out of the program by being utterly mediocre, and worse than that, but being boring. Shane Beamer is mediocre, but at least he's interesting. Kingston just sucks.

Please, please keep beating that arse. There's no excuse for SC baseball being this bad.

Kingston was literally expecting to get fired last offseason and was literally waiting for the call. But pussy arse Ray Tanner gave him another year to sink the program lower

The product sucks right now...but we also had a final 4 game going on at the same time. Most fans opted to watch the undefeated Lady Gamecocks play. Even if baseball was good, the place would have been more empty than normal

We haven’t had any success in the last 10 years. So why support it?
