If Georgia has clinched, do they rest starters against Tech?

Hell no.

Maybe they treat the game as a glorified scrimmage, but no way in hell they pull the starters.

Kirby’s final home game at UGA was a loss to Tech. He takes that shite personally 25+ years later.

You seem to not understand what’s changed in CFB. The goal is to get to the playoffs. There’s going to be a bunch of 2 loss teams, you damn sure don’t want a loss to Tech or a worse team like USCw.

Nothing will be clenched, because you still have SEC games going on that day. AnM, Texas, Alabama and Auburn come to mind.

The only way we rest starters in any game that Kirby has coached is if we're up 30 points. I hope that's the case at the half, and we can rest the starters and get valuable reps for the backups, which we have been able to do regularly in the past 3 seasons but not so much this season. I hope GT is one of those games.

Hell no, it's senior day and possibly the last game some of these dudes will ever play between the hedges. He'll have to keep them off the field

No.

If UGA is 10-1 going into GT, they won't rest starters. The reason is that if they were to lose to tech, then lose in the SECCG they could be left out of the playoff. If they were out of the SECCG, a loss to GT could take them from a home playoff game to a road playoff game.

It would make more sense for UGA to rest starters in the SECCG than to do so against Tech. Not that they'd do that either.

Woulda been nice had we rested the starters vs GT in '19. Our best RB (D'Andre Swift) was injured and pretty much useless in the SECC and we also lost our best WR (Pickens) for a half due to suspension...he was involved in a fight started by a GT player.

Tech was good awful that year and we still would crushed em without our 2 best offensive players in the 2nd half.

The championship games are pointless waste of time and risk damage to players.

This isn’t the NFL. Nothing is officially clinched in the regular season

Get back to skinning that nutria (a.k.a.- coonass porterhouse) for supper, and leave all this ball-talk small talk to the educated.

The game is called "Clean, Old-Fashioned HATE"
They first changed their fight song to include, "and to hell with GaTech."

Georgia will never take it easy on GaTech. They hate each other.
