Im sure they could visit the nearest nursing home, hospice care, or vegetable stand and get the same experience.

Tell Joe the Dawgs came. He won't know the difference.

The team sure. The state is why we’re in this mess though.

AND, the decline begins. Mark this date in your calendar...

As evidenced by the state of Georgia being a conservative stronghold that would never flip blue in the current climate, amirite?

No clue. My right wing conspiracy brain thinks it had to do with shitting on Herschel Walker. It’s an experience anyone should take, no matter the president, if offered.
It was just what it said. They never could get a date ironed out. The WH offered several dates actually. Kirby wanted to do it before spring practice began. That didn't work for the WH schedule. There was a date where it could've worked out, but UGA was too late in responding and the WH had filled the schedule. At least that's what I'm being told.
I do not know what Kirby's political views are, but he realizes what the make up of his team, what's important to the majority of them, and this has nothing to do with Herschel. You will notice that he, nor Saban lost their team when a certain indicent happened with the police a couple of years back. Some coaches did because they did not respect their players' views and it cost them their job as they went from the top of the mountain to mediocrity in a year's time.

Interesting, with Ga being a blue state I figured they would go.

I know you are quick to make incorrect judgments, but you do recognize that GA is nearly split down the middle and is considered a swing state right?
You do realize that the Republican Governor won reelection fairly easily the last cycle?

The logistics of trying to get 105 players and 80 staff back to Athens to fly to DC isn’t feasible. Don’t understand how they couldn’t have found a date sooner for them.
This is the correct rationale. The real question is why did it take them so long to invite us? We won the natty in January and didn't get an invite until last week. They snubbed us due to covid last year and drug their feet to invite us this year.

America haters.
Yep. The white house is full of them.

The White house is doing a college champions day all on one day in June. LSU women basketball and UConn men's have accepted invites.

what is the reason they didn’t go last year?
Biden never invited us. This is the first time a team has been invited since 2019
