Wut?

There’s not a single actual UGA fan who doesn’t know Kirby is the best coach in college football and it’s not close at all.

Speak for yourself. In 2020, I legitimately wondered if I would see UGA win a natty in my lifetime. Kirby brought us two. As far as I’m concerned, he could burn down our program and piss on the ashes. He’s earned that right. I will never call for his head.

I remember the Ray Goof years so I definitely am thankful for Kirby, bowlcut and all.

Grateful for him since day 1. I know he has a shelf life like Saban and likely a shorter one than Saban.

He is the best coach in the game today.

And the Georgia offense is a sight to see, it’s refreshing seeing a team line up and pound the football from under center.

Wish OU would go back to the old days offensively.

After 40 years in the wilderness, we are well aware.

We should also be thankful for Ray Goff signing Kirby while also hobbling the program to the point that Spurrier could hang 50 in Athens, providing a young Kirby Smart with all the motivation he would ever need to drive UGA forward to its current state.

I wouldn’t trade Elko simply because he is a great coach and seems to have a better culture. I am NOT saying he is better than Kirby. I don’t think he is.

there's that. He was also SEC POY in '76 and won us an SEC title. I really hate that the man is forever shat on just because he was in over his head as a HC and never should've been hired in the first place.

This is some pretty fast revisionist history and I hope you understand that "not a signle UGA fan" actually means any. There were fans on the Georgia Board after the Austin Peay and Alabama games making Dabo and Richt comps and predicting that Kirby was becoming tne next Dabo or Richt, and on Facebook there were even way more dorks doing it.

There is an unusually large segment of our fans who have been miserable about Georgia football for most of the season because we're not as good as 2021 and 2022. Bitching and whining and moaning. They eternally think that we are one or two new assistant coaching hires away from going 16-0 every year and winning the national championship game 65-7.

These fans are buzzkills and they all need to be tied to a rocket ship and blast into outer space. smh.

Isn't Kirby like 1-9 vs Bama?

Yeah, fair. Elko has been extremely impressive. A&M has had a loaded roster for years now so its finally all coming together.

Its one thing to be a motivator or a good recruiter, see Dabo, but it s another to be that and have your own offensive or defensive system, see Smart, Saban, Myer, Day, etc. I would never hire a coach that wasn't at least a coordinator with their own system. NEVER
